Just saying Hi

Hello everyone. I have been reading this website for awhile because of the info and support you all have. Figured it was time to say HI. I am sheduled for an open RNY at St. Vincents in Carmel with Dr Evanson on 2-2-07. Took alot of soul searching and talking to co-workers and friends who have had it. I hope that this is the tool I need to help me to a healthier life. Really sucks being powerless over food. I beat cancer twice and have been in remission for seven years now. For some reason this scares me more than anything that happened to me with cancer. Some of your posts have releived some of the fears and others have stirred questions, either way my mind is going about 100 MPH. thanks for the contributions

Welcome to the board and congrats on your surgery date! If there are any questions that we might be able to answer to help alleviate your fears, don't hesitate to ask them. I can't guarantee you 50 responses, but usually there is at least one person out there who has experienced something similar and will reply & try to help you out. Having the fears is normal though...I think we all had them. BTW...congrats on those 7 years!!!! That is truly wonderful! Sherri
