Thursday
Another week almost over- hurrah!
I had to go to the hospital on Tuesday. Hadnt felt the baby move in a long time, so they wanted me to come in. Hooked us up to the heart monitor and a couple of times her heart slowed and then stopped for a moment. Then it would start again. They said that she was prolly just moving around and had pinched her cord for a moment and that it was nothing to worry about. But man did my stomach hit the ground when it happened. They hooked me up to the contraction montior thingy, and apparently im having some small contractions. I dont feel much of anything when these happen, but okay. Also nothing to worry about. Then we watched her on the ultrasound for a bit. She's "breathing" fine, and has good movement, so I was told to keep my appt the 29th, and to keep an extra eye on fetal movement. No problems since then.
Dad is at home. Not A HOME, but his home. This whole situation drives me nutes. Its hard not to be mad at his girlfriend. She's the reason we're in this mess to start with, and has now decided that she doesnt want to take care of dad anymore. SO now that she's made the mess, everyone else has to clean it up. But at least he's home and not at methodist.

Oh Darrah, I know that's so scary when you don't feel them moving, after you are used to it. I went to the hospital a couple times because of that over three pregnancies. My little stinkers, would begin moving as soon as they were hooked up to the monitors!
DH had the interview yesterday. He felt it went well. They already clarified that there will be a second round of interviews for those they want to call back, they will not hire out of this round. I hope he gets called back.

Hi everyone...
Darrah..that has to be so nerve wrecking. I hope you have a very special name picked out for this little girl because she sure is making everything about the pregnancy special. I'm glad everything turned out ok.
Carmen...thank you. Tomorrow is Lasik day. At least my eye hasn't been twitching as bad today. It gives me hope that it will behave itself tomorrow!
Today has been a frustrating day to me. All because of my darn feet! It's been like that the whole time! Between doctor, physical therapy, work and insurance, GRRRRR! First there was the inserts that was suppose to have helped the bunions, but did nothing for them AND caused the plantar Facia problem in both feet. So..off to pt...which caused another ligament to go out in both feet. So..surgery on right foot in August, surgery on left in November. Work decides both surgeries must be for the same foot and cuts my pay to 65% since the total missed (although not at one time) was greater than 3 months. I get a letter from the doctor to verify that the two instances were non-related (one foot didn't cause the other foot's nor were they both on the same foot). So...got reinbursed the 35%. Then they need a letter because I was out longer than the doctors ESTIMATED return date. So...had to have a copy of his notes to show it was needed. The doctor's office calls Anthem to see if orthapedic inserts were covered and were told they were. Well..got a letter from Anthem yesterday saying I would have to pay for them ($450) because they don't cover them for "confort or convienence". Called the doctors office and they said not to worry that Anthem routinely does this but will pay for them. And now...we have the decision to make every November if we want to purchase extra vacation, I always do. Because of that short time of 65%...which is considered going non-active....work wasn't going to let me purchase those hours! It looks like that might be cleared up now, but won't know for sure till I talk to the rep tomorrow (she went home early). I am to the point of wondering if this nightmare will ever end!! It has been one thing after another. I never had work question how long a doctor kept me off either...and I think every time I've been off, it's been at least 1-2 weeks longer than the estimated time. All I can say is PEOPLE WHO WORK WHERE I DO:::: DO NOT take medical leaves at the end of the year or things WILL get messed up big time!
After the morning I had, I am in no mood to be here at work! Grrrr.....
Sherri

What a scare Darrah! Glad to know everything is OK! Sorry to hear about the trouble with your father...I think of you and your family a lot.
I am feeling better today. Still have a headache but nothing like it was the past two days. I guess I am to apply for the job online tomorrow and then they will close it and start the hiring proces. Hopefully by the end of next week I can give my two weeks notice. I am so over my current job today...probably about as frustrated as Sherri is. All I do is enable people to be lazy...I need to make more of a difference.
On a happy note, today I am exactly 6months post op and down 78 pounds!! (Happy 9 month to Floyd and Camen.) I wore a dress and dolled up to celebrate..boy have people taken notice. It's kind of nice...still not used to all the compliments but I can definately get used to them.
Hope everyone starts feeling better and only ONE MORE DAY till the WEEKEND!! THEN hopefully *fingers crossed* 3 more days till the Colts head to the SUPERBOWL!! Still real bitter about not getting playoff tickets this year....first time in over 21 years we didn't order them!
Sam

Hi Everyone,
Boy I am getting on late!!!
It sure has been a hectic day for me.I saw my Ins. man and they are taking care of the lawsuit- thank goodness!! They said don't worry
they deal with things like this all the time.
I saw my PCP (after waiting 2 hrs-
)found out my levels are all good, and had to have a blood draw to check my thyroid and potassium. I've been having leg cramps from
latley. Then we discussed my progress so far and decided I could still lose more, if I want- and I do! He did talk about my having a tummy tuck, and that the Ins. probably wouldn't pay for it.DARN!! Oh well, it is a super strength girdle for me! SPANX, here I come!
The wt. loss is slowing down for me- only 2 1/2 # this month.Total lost so far-118#.
He said it is normal and ok.I am at his first goal, and my BMI has gone from 48.1 to 27.0!! I have to have a bone scan since my Degenerative Arthritis in my back showed it is progressing on the x-ray. I have to call the Ins. and see if they will pay-wish me luck! You know how Ins. companies are with retried employees-
~hehe!!
Darrah- Oh my gosh girl, you need to slow down alittle. I am sending lots of prayers your way! I am so glad your little
is ok!! Oh, I called the Home Health Care thru Oddessy in Indy, when my Mom was in Hospice and they were a huge help. Can you get that for your Dad? Mom's Medicaid paid for it and it was a Godsend!! Try and rest up for Saturday girl cause we are going to
!!!!
Carmen and Floyd- Happy 9th month Birthday to you
- you fantastic "Hoosier Losers!".
Sherri,
I am crossing all my" body parts " ( you know what I mean
)for you tomorrow and sending you my prayers! You will be seeing clearer soon! Yikes, it sounds likeyour ins./work, work/ins. don't know what they are talking about
-hope it all is resolved quick!
Lynda & Sam,
So glad the job interviews went well. Here's hoping good news is on its way to you soon!
Well, lets hope sunshine shows its smile on us tomorrow- I am sick of these gloomy days!
(((hugs)))
Ellen

Darrah, so glad everything turned out ok when you went in to have the baby checked out. I am sure you were really scared. You have been in my prayers. You have been under so much stress with your dad. May God give you peace and His comfort. When is your exact due date? I am sure it is pretty soon. Weather permitting I hope to see you on the 27th for the fun and games. Take care of yourself. I am praying for your dad too. Karen
