They told me it would be an hour long and from there I can pick a doctor. These are my choices: John Ditslear, III, MD Christopher Evanson, MD Gerardo Gomez, MD John Huse, MD Margaret Inman, MD Douglas Kaderabek, MD Samer Mattar, MD Don Selzer, MD I am leaning towards Dr. Inman seems alot of people have had good experiences with her. Has anyone had a bad experience with Clarian. I have only heard good things. Which makes it hard at choosing. Robin

I went to Clairan as well. All of their docs are amazing, but my personal preference is Dr. Mattar. He is very caring, understanding, and VERY paitent oriented. He comes to see you 2 times a day in the hospital, and is very concerned about your comfort, and general wellbeing. The choice is up to you, but Dr. Mattar comes very highly reccommended from me. Good luck.

I had Dr. Evanson and it was 1 year ago today. I couldn't have asked for better care. Mine was at St. V instead of Clarian but Dr. E and Dr. Inman's office is at Clarion now which is a bonus for you.

I had Dr Gomez, who was great. Several of my friends have had Dr Inman, Dru Huse, and Dr Evanson. they were all great as well. So, at least you know you have all good docs to choose from! Good luck!

Hi Robin, Dr Mattar is the very best doctor I have ever known. I have been in the medical profession for 18 years and known many physicians and he tops them all. He is a meticulous surgeon and a very kind, gentle, funny man. He is very intelligent and truly cares for his patients even well after surgery. I recently had a complication that had nothing at all to do with how he did surgery, just my body deciding to be funky. I had an intestinal hernia "Peterson's defect". I called Dr Mattar's office on a Tuesday, he called me back personally that day and wanted to see me on Wednesday after I described my symptoms to him. I refused because we are short handed at work. He was reluctant but said ok and to call if my symptoms worsened. Well that night they did and also on Wednesday so I called him back Wednesday and he got me in for surgery on Thursday morning. He held my hand while the anesthesiologist put me under. I went home 5 hours later and back to work on Monday. Pain free! His skill as a surgeon is unbeatable. My recovery after my RNY in August was short and sweet. I was back to work part time after 1 and 1/2 weeks and full time after 2 weeks. I am 5 1/2 months out and have lost 90#s. His staff is excellent. Believe me when I say you will not regret going with Dr Mattar and his staff. They are wonderful! Good luck to you on your journey!
