Good morning Tammy. I agree...it's too darn cold. I decided since it was so cold, that I'm wearing jeans to work again today. I work in the basement of our building and it's always cold. To top it off, I started getting a cold this weekend and don't feel so hot either. I did get around to putting my heated seat cushions in the truck, so part of me got real warm on the ride to work....lol It was wonderful meeting you on Saturday. Thanks for hosting a great clothing exchange. Floyd

Good morning everyone! I wear layers every day I think! Today, I wore a turtleneck & a sweater to work. So far, I have added my trusty hoodie, and if I have to go into the chillroom, will be adding my carhart jacket on top of that! At least I know it isn't just me though. Several in our group have been taking advantage of the opportunity to show off their Christmas sweaters! I70 West from Shadeland to Harding wasn't bad this morning on my way in. I heard on the radio that there are alot of slick spots out there so be careful getting where you need to go everyone! Sherri

Hello All! I hope you're all having a good, though chilly, day today. I didn't even get to see my computer yesterday, the hubby and I had the day off and ran errands all day. I went for the official exam for the lasik, and found out I am a good candidate. My surgery for lasik is scheduled on 1/31/07. I am so excited. They could have done it tomorrow, but I won't have all the $$$ yet. We also went to get new pictures of the two of us taken. (The one in my profile is from 1999.) I didn't like all of them, but found a couple I thought I looked pretty good in. I will post a new picture soon. I also got my hair trimmed and colored. It's a reddish color.... you'll see it in the picture. I love it. It hides the grays Linda Vicory P.S. Tomorrow is Mike's (the hubby) interview at IUPUI. Keep fingers and toes crossed!

After being in bed none stop since Sunday morning because of my RSD I was looking forward to going to see my pain management doctor this morning to get new stronger pain meds .... but not now. Yuck!! I got to drive to Indy (86th St) in this crappy weather on top of feeling like a Mack truck ran over me several times. UGH!! I hope everyone takes it easy today and drives carefully.

I may be weird but I'm glad that it is finally cold out. Being a farm girl I have to mess with all these animals and it is nice to be able to turn them out. It has been so muddy and rainy they have been stuck inside and are going stir crazy. Today I threw their buts out and they seemed happy about it. All the ground isn't frozen yet, we still have puddles around the barn but with this forcast they should be firming up soon.

I could skip winter every year, as long as we can still have fall. ANyone know where I can live that still has fall but goes right back to spring? You let me know if you do! Dad is still at Mehtodist for now. We are looking at moving him to a home tomorrow if he cooperates. Cooperating meaning he stops pulling his IVs out and crap. He's still very confused. Yesterday he told us about a field where cakes and goodies come out of the ground (too bad he didnt tell me where that field IS), and also asked us to call the post office so they could cut his "pee pee" off. When we told him we weren't going to cut that off, he sighed and told us that sometimes we just dont make any sense. I had to leave the room laughing at that point. I know its not funny, but it IS funny, and laughter is how most of my family deals with pain. My mom said some pretty whacky things too before she died, but nothing nearly as..... entertaining, I guess for lack of a better word. We're planning on putting him in a home, Harbor Something or another in Decatur, if he's still having dimentia like this. If he comes out of it, well, we can't enforce the POA if he's of sound mind. But we will be taking a copy of the DNR to the Wayne Township Fire Dept so they will at least know that he is a DNR when the next time comes around. This is just such a huge mess that should be over with. I prolly sound like a rotten kid for wishing he was gone. But now he'll have to live his days out in a home where he didnt want to be, instead of letting him die at home like he wanted to.

Darrah, Vegas doesn't have much of a winter at all. Pretty much goes from fall to spring. Of course, summers are like being baked in an over, but that's a plus to us, huh? After the deaths....and pro-longed deaths we have had in our family, I don't consider you a rotten kid at all. There is nothing wrong with wishing that a loved one would have less bad days on earth instead of more terrible days. It takes a strong person to allow the DNR...and someone who is in such bad condition, needs a strong person. Just love him on earth while you can and know that when he passes away, he will no longer be in pain. Sherri

SNOW!! I set my alarm early so I wouldn't have any problems making the drive downtown. Unfortunately at about 3 AM I woke up with a migraine and got sick. Before surgery I probably would have had about 6 by now but instead this is only the 2nd one I've had. Laid back down and just got out of bed about an hour ago. Might have to get back in just to stay warm! Yesterday was my 6mo. follow up with Dr. C. She was extremely pleased and said I don't have to go back till my 1 year post op if I don't feel like it. Normally she has people come in at 9mo I guess. I feel great so unless something changes I won't go back till July. Did have my blood drawn so I am a little nervous of those results. Their scale was about 7lbs heavier than mine but that's OK. I attribute that to my boots, jeans, and sweater. Sam
