Local Support Group

I need to find a support group close to me. I live in Wabash,IN. So, I need a place like Ft Wayne, Kokomo, Warsaw, Marion... I'm esp looking for one that does clothing exchange b/c I'm in desperate need of clothes!! I praise God everyday for my weight loss, but the sad fact is, I'm about to be naked!! I agree with what Linda said. That listing has 2 of your city choices. I live between Bunker Hill and Peru and I am going to start going to the one in Kokomo. I am still pre-op though. The site you are on seems like a wonderful group of people and they are having clothing exchanges about every 3 months and you just missed one. Apparently they move it around and they had one last fall in Kokomo.

We've had clothing exchanges and various other meet ups all around the Indianapolis area. We had a clothing exchange/get together this past fall in Kokomo. Our recent clothing exchange was in Danville. The next get together/clothing exchange will be in April near the Indy Airport. Clothing exchanges are roughly every 3 months. However, we occassionally have get togethers for various reasons. Such as baby showers, holidays, or just because. These get togethers are usually at least a weeks notice, but not always. I'm not sure about whats going on in your area. Does your local paper list the time/dates of various support groups. Like AA, OEA, Alnon... etc... Sometimes your might find a wls type listed. Or OEA (Over eaters anonymous) is a good place to deal with food issues. Good Luck on your search, Jodi

Well, I can't really make the drive to Indy, but I could go to Kokomo. How often are they done in Kokomo. I can't afford to exchange on this site b/c I can't pay for the shipping.

They are at various location usually depending on who has said they will host it. We had the one in Kokomo because Dan hosted it and that's where he is from. I'm hosting the next one. I live in Crawfordsville, however I will be hosting the exchange in April in Indy by the airport. I take it you've had no luck in finding one in your area? Jodi
