What a wonderful day! I am actually wearing a shirt from the back of my closet that I haven't worn in like a year, and a pair of new jeans that don't look like I could fit another person in them, they fit good. I feel so positive and motivated after seeing all my fellow losers yesterday. I am going for my lasik exam tomorrow. The one I went to before was just kind of a cursory screening. This exam will be with the doctor and truly determine if I am a candidate for the lasik. Wish me luck. I really want to do this. Linda Vicory

That's wonderful Linda... there is no place better to shop then your own closet I think, because you already know that you like the clothes in there, cause you bought them, and you know that they look good on you!!! Congrats!!! Good luck on your lasik exam tomorrow. I don't know what it is but I'm so tired today!!! I got up at 6 and went back to bed at 10 and just got up and it's 3... grrrr... I don't want to do anything. Does anyone read the Janet Evanovich books about Stephanie Plum? Well my friend let me borrow the new one that just came out, the book inbetween numbers and I think i'm going to sit down and read that. Tomorrow I have my pre op testing... I'm a little nervous about the barium crap but I'll live. I just want to say again how nice it was to meet you all yesterday. I felt very welcome. I called my dad after the exchange to tell hima bout it (my dad is VERY against me having this surgery) and he is happy that there is that support system in place for me. I'm hoping to turn him around in the next 30 days. Well, I guess I better start laundry Jessyca

Oh what crappy weather. This morning we jsut bummed around. this afternoon we had to go to a funeral for myDH great aunt. I don't feel like doing anything now. Instead of being at the exchange yesterday I went to my great aunts BD party at the nursing home. It was interesting to note that of the 20 people in attendance 4 of us had surgery done at St. V. ! evanson 1 yr ago, 1 Jones 5 yrs ago, 1 Cacucci 1 1/2 yrears ago , & 1 Inman 2 yrs ago. That is 1/5 of the people in attendance. Guess you could say weight problems run in our family??

Linda- Congrats on fitting in new clothes! How much have you lost now? I go on Thursday for my one month check-up with Dr. Inman. I am anxious to see how much I have lost according to her scales. Good luck with your lasik exam tomorrow. I can't imagine not needing glasses again! Karen

Karen, I have lost 46 pounds in 7 weeks. Good luck with your one month checkup on Thursday. I hope the scales are good to you! Are you going to the dietician too? I weighed less on Dr. Inman's scale than I did on the dietician. I like hers better Linda Vicory
