Has anyone had experience being approved with Blue Cross Blue Shield

I have PPO Anthem and my husband has well it just has PPO on the card.

I have Anthem as a state employee, and got approved before I'd even finished the diet they supposedly required! They are great. Linda Vicory

I was approved in a week.. but I had already proved to them everything I have tried that has failed... 18 months with Dr Piateck included.. with the reciepts to prove it.. Anthem is not as hard as most but they do want you to have at least 6 months supervised.. Best wishes Linda

I was approved in 6 hours, once they got all the documentation they needed. I have since heard that they now require the 6 months supervised diet thing too though. After I got approved, they called me back and said I had to wait till I had been with them for a year, as I had not had any insurance prior to them for awhile. So, I ended up waiting for 6 months anyway. But thats ok, cause the approval was the important thing. They paid all but 1500.00. I recently had to get approval for the treatment for vericose veins in my legs, and they approved that too. It cost them 36,000.00!!!! I agree, Anthem rocks!!!!!
