I was released from St. V's on Sunday night. Thanks to all of you who upheld me in prayers and Sherri, thanks so much for the visit. After I got home I had computer trouble, so today is my first time back on line. I have just started to feel a little stronger the last two days. I am getting all of my protein in and I think it is making a real difference. They did confirm that I had developed several blood clots and ended up putting some kind of filter in through a vein in my groin. It needs to come out again sometime between 3-6 months after it was put in. They started me on coumadin to thin my blood and that is in addition to lovenox 2 times per day! Since my veins are so determined not to give up any blood, they sent me home with a PICC line. I have to have blood drawn frequently to get the coumadin level correct. Needless to say, I won't make it to the clothing exchange tomorrow, but will be thinking about all of you. I am hoping to make it to the baby shower. I have an appointment with Dr. Inman on the 18th. Thank heavens in spite of all of the problems I have had, my new little tummy is happy and so far has liked everything I have tried. Karen

Karen, I'm so glad to see you posting!! Bill will be glad to when I tell him. He's asked me several times 'Any news on Karen?'. It sounds like the coumadin/lovenox combo is working. At one time, I was wishing they would have sent me home with a PICC line...especially when I was getting weekly endo's and it take them 4 times to get lucky. I was already looking forward to the baby shower, but will even more so knowing I'll be able to see you there! Take care & don't over-do it!!! Sherri

Karen, so good to hear from you. I stopped by to see if you were still there Tuesday, but they told me you had gone home Sunday. I am glad you're feeling stronger. Linda Vicory

Karen, I am glad to hear you are home and doing well!! I was wondering how you were doing. I haven't been on the boards since I have been home, but I am finally checking things out. I am getting tight, so am probably getting scoped on Monday, the 15th when I see Dr. Evanson, so it is liquids for me all weekend...good times. I will be praying for you!! Dana

Karen I'm so glad you are home finally. I hope things start going better for you and that I'll see you at the Feb support meeting in Ft. Wayne. I haven't been to ameeting since October! I missed this month because it was my son's 21 BD and instead of going to a bar he wanted me to make him a home made dinner. So how could I say no to that. Hope to see you in Feb.

Karen, Glad to hear you made it home, and are doing alittle better. Sherri updated me at the clothing exchange about you. Hope your troubles are over soon. Dr. Inman, isn't she the GREATEST!! She really helped me when they found out I didn't need the Lovenox shots, and bled all over the place. She quickly took care of it-no Lovenox for me! Hope they have found the right mix and you get your strength back quickly!! I plan to goto Darrah's shower, so hopefully we will meet then. Keep sipping, walking, and getting your protien in gal!! (((hugs))) Ellen
