New Terre Haute Support Group forming

I am so excited to announce the formation of a new support group in Terre Haute. This group is for anyone who has had or is considering weight loss surgery or banding. I am the new leader. I had Rue-n-y surgery with Dr. Margaret Inman on October 2nd, 2006. Since my surgery I have lost 60 lbs & am doing great. I have applied to obesityhelp to become a registered support group leader. And St. Vincents said if we can prove a steady interest in a Terre Haute support group then they will see about recognizing us as a satelite place for them. Our first meeting will be Monday January 29th from 6:30-8:30 pm. Laura, You might want to check at the TH Library on 7th street. There was a support group there once a month. You might want to see about combining your efforts. I'm not sure if the leader is a registered leader or just someone who saw the need. Sherri

Sherri, Thanks for responding. I did call the library & was told there is no longer a support group meeting there. The lady I spoke to couldn't give me the name of the person who used to run it. So if anyone on here knows who it was, I'd be glad to try to work with her.
