Hi all....Sorry it has been along time since posted
I have been having some health problems. I was hospitailized in August 06 for a 14 mm Ulcer and was just hospitilzed again the week of christmas for another Ulcer and fluid around my Pancreas. I have gone from a size W32 To a size 18 since surgery on June 27th. I am now at my 6 month mark. I still look in the mirror and see a fat person. But man is it great to go shopping in regular stores ! Dr Huses has been wonderful. I am pretty much staying dehydrated . Working hard on that. As of yesterday , I am 190 pounds.![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/mbgraphics/emoticons/party.gif)

Hi Carla, yes I remember meeting you. You look great as well. Thank you. I actually feel great even tho the issues right now. I warn people tho, not all hospital's know what to do with a patient like us. I was so sick, I could not handle the drive to Carmel to St . V's and so my daughter n law took me to Methodist. NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could not get it through to the nurse's nor the doctor that my stomach was only a couple of oz's. They finally transferred me by ambulance to carmel that evening. If , I get this sick again, I told my family just take me straight to carmel. You would think all hospital's would know a lil something about the surgery. I can't wait till summer, hopefully some of the skin is tonned up good by then. lol. If not..who cares , I feel good. Happy New Year. Cindy
When I got my new knee last year I had the hardest time trying to convince the dietition that I WAS eatting enough they kept threating me with a feeding tube!!! Darn I gained 15 pounds that week and HAD the devil of time getting it off!! They ought to have a bariatric class for EVERY dietition before they graduate!!
Linda
Linda, gal I totally agree with ya. At Methodist they brought in the 2 big cups of baruim and a STRAW and said to drink them, for my catscan. I told them I couldn't. I tried as best as I could. They ended up sticking the tube down my nose into my stomach and the ***^%%%%%&&&& nurse who was doing it, said to another helping her, the tube won't go down any farther. In between gasp's I said my stomach is not that big you dum***** ! She said oh thats right. Well, I ended up bleeding from nose and mouth. I ever see that broad outside in public and she is mine !!!! My nose is still sore and it has been a week now. They are ignorant! I will suffer the drive to Carmel from now on if any more problems arise. Then the idiots told the ambulance folks that we were going to St.V's on 86th street, once we got there I realized where we were and told them this was not where I was supposed to go.I was told it was, well we go through emergancy and they say we have a direct admit and guess what! Find out ..WRONG HOSPITAL. I told them , Methodist was batting zero that day lol. Finally got to correct hospital and was getting the help and understanding that was needed and appreciated very much. So any of you out here who is post op..PLEASE.... make sure you go to the hospital that did the surgery, take it from someone who has been there first hand.
