Well, today was the fantastical gestational diabetes test. The TASTE wasnt as bad as the AFTERtaste and I had less than 5 minutes to drink it. The carbonation is what really bothered me. Since surgery I have to watch how fast i do carbonation. I'm just now realizing, they never checked my urine at this appt. Prolly because my appt was at 2, and I didn't even get put in a room until 320. I finally couldnt hold it anymore and was told it would be at least a half hour wait to get in a room, so I went to the bathroom to pee. Right after I peed, Chris is knocking on the bathroom door because they've called my name. Fantastical. They were going to take my urine sample later, but they must have forgotten. I did. Was nauseated for about 30 minutes, but thankfully I didn't puke.
Only gained one and half pounds this month, which puts me at a total gain of 10.5 pounds for the entire pregnancy (well, not even a GAIN really, was 279 when I got preggo, got down to 255, and am now at 265.5, so technically I guess i havnet GAINED yet). Heard the baby's heartbeat. Told the Dr that im getting bored and im ready to have this baby, but realized I still had some time. She said , "well, you're only a little bit passed half way, you still have a long way to go." Now last I checked, Tuesday will be 10 weeks to my due date (March 20). And TRUST ME I've counted many times. But okay, whatever. And if im so far away, why are my appts every 3 weeks now, eh? She also said since I didn't gain much this last month, she wants to do an ultrasound at my next appt to check on the baby's growth. She said we'll do an ultrasound every 6 weeks til I have the baby. So what? One? MAYBE two? I'll be 7 weeks from my due date when I go for my next appt. But okay I guess.
Because they KNEW I was going to have a C section with my youngest they did an ultrasound every vist from the first.. I got to see him growing.. but they never did tell me it was a boy because they knew I wanted a girl...I think they thought I would quit trying to make sure she/he was healthy.. but then again that was 27 years ago!!! Man I cant believe he is so old and I am still just a young thing!!

My pregnancies went the same way... I usually lost about 15-20 pounds in the first trimester, then slowly worked my way up to my conception weight during the last two trimesters. I conceived and delivered at almost the sxact same weight all 3 times, even with my twins! And it doesn't sound like you are worried, buy my babies were always big a healthy. I think they get what they need first and you get the leftovers! I think it is your body's way of telling you to get used to putting yourself last for a very long time to come.
Good luck on a speedy 10 weeks. It does seem to drag on forever, doesn't it? It will seem like it went so quickly when you look back at it, though!
