Any suggestions greatly appreciated.....
Ok, here is my problem...I am now down to 124 lbs, that's a 50% weight loss from my pre surgery weight. The loss has slowed up alot, but I have lost 6 lbs since Thanksgiving. 6 more lbs and I'll be considered underweight
People who haven't seen me in awhile think I'm sick. Everyone close to me thinks I look great, but shouldn't loose anymore. So here is my question, how do you stop losing? I talked to my nut and she said eat higher calorie stuff nuts, peanut butter drink more milk. And I'm going hmmm I already do that for the protein....So now that I've found out I can tolerate sugar, I've been eating christmas candies and cookies like crazy just to keep from losing. I am no longer am obsessed with the scales, hoping to lose more. Now I'm afraid I have lost more, so I just don't look. Another question, anybody have dark circles or puffiness under your eyes? In the past few months I have developed both and have tried everything to tone both down to no avail. Any suggestions? I think these are one reason some people think I look sick.

Well, I'm not in the same situation but I have a friend who was. She had the "tired" and "sickly look", including puffiness around her eyes and she was bruising easily. Have you had your labs done recently? Although she was getting in 60 grams of protein they found out that she was malnourished and had a protein and iron deficency. I would go to your doctor just to be safe. It never hurts to have things checked out. Let us know what you find out!

Tammy,
I don't have any puffiness, but I do have the dark circles under my eyes. I was also bruising real bad and my skin is just not healthy looking. My Dr. ran several tests and put me on iron shots and potassium. He also made me increase my protein and electrolyte intake. It has only been a few weeks so I don't know if it has helped or not.
I hope this helps, and that you are feeling and looking better soon!
Blessings,
Carmen
Hi Angie!!
Up until recently I hadn't been very good at taking my vitamins. My own fault, I know. So now I make sure to take them every a.m. and p.m. I'm doing real well with the protein and the fluid intake. I've never had a problem with taking my prescriptions its just the vitamin thing, i think its the smell of them. kinda gags me.
