Karen Wing update 12-25-06

We are still here. Mom is doing much better she is able to sit up for about 1-2 hours at a time. She made it another whole lap right before lunch and is feeling okay as long as her pain is under control. The doc wants to keep her another day which is fine, I have an upper GI tomorrow morning and would have no one to sit with mom. She is still weak and needed help getting back to bed last night from the nurses. So we are spending Christmas here. The nurses are cranky because they have to work so it's not much fun around here. I keep kicking this one particular nurse out when she gets to complaining too much. You would think she would get the hint. Anyways mom is able to take calls and carry a short conversation so if any of you want to wish her Merry Christmas that would really boost her spirits. Thanks so much for your support for her, she really enjoys being a part of your group. I will also be more active since I have gotten to know you all a little. Merry Christmas to you all. Micah

Thanks for the update!! I would much rather spend another day in the hospital then be sent home early!!! Sorry about the nurses.. but they knew going in thatit was a 24-7 job...people need them on Christmas too.. Sorry about your upper GI... YEC I hate those things!!! Much rather have a scope!! Linda
