Dawn, I haven't been on the board much lately. I've been very busy at work and rarely get on the computer at home. The last time I talked to you (at group) you were hoping to get a referal to a plastic surgeon because of pain in your back and leg. How is that going? I hope you are feeling better. Cindy

Hi Cindy, Thanks for thinking about me! I did go to my 1 year follow-up, was referred to a plastic surgeon for the pannilectomy, unfortunately, my appt. is not until April 30, I am on a list for cancellations though! The good news to it being that far out, is I get more time to lose some more before I go for surgery! He is also going to fix the hernia, at the same time as plastics as long as the hernia holds out that long! I am still having some discomfort, am hoping to try your suggestion of a chiropractor after the holidays, insurance doesn't cover it, and Christmas has taken all I have got! Glad to hear that your mom is adjusting pretty well at the nursing home! My g-pa seems to be pretty happy there too, going through all of the therapy is a little tough at times, but he does enjoy FLIRTING with all the girls, go figure, he's 81 and honery (sp)! It does help to know that they are not totally disgusted with being there! Hope you have a Happy Holiday, and hope to see ya again soon at group! I am planning to get back there as regularly as possible after the holidays, school starts again Jan. 8th so that will keep me busy again, then it will be time for baseball season with my son!!! Thanks again, have a great day! Hugz Dawn

Hey Dawn... Don't know if you have a chiropractor picked out yet or not, but Bill & I just love Dr. Bob Kilenbeck. I know. What a last name for chiropractor! LOL! We just call him Dr. Bob. He's fantastic. He's also good with non-insured people. Ask your family doc if he would order back/neck x-rays for you to bring with you to Dr. Bob's. The insurance would pay for them that way. Otherwise, it's the first thing Dr. Bob will do. I gotta hand it to him! He won't touch someone until he can see that their spine is ok in an x-ray first. For those who self-pay, each visit is only about $25. Try going to any other kind of doctor for that little! Anyway, Dr. Bob is on 10th street near Linwood Square. Sherri

Bill is doing good. He goes back to see Dr. Price Thursday. Hopefully, that raw area will be healed up by then. He seems to think it is now so I don't know if that means his vision has cleared a little more or what. I can tell that he is seeing more now...although I don't think he realizes it. This morning, we are going to go out for breakfast (Eva Lee's...know the place? It's a great little Mom & Pop place on Washington...just west of Keystone on the north side of the street). After that, we're picking Chance up. First stop is him a haircut, and then taking him shopping for his family. I think it's important for kids to grow up learning that Christmas is about giving...not just recieving. The final stop will be lunch. Every 'professional' haircut the grandkids have had has been me taking them...and each cut includes lunch. It's their day out with Mamaw. Christmas will be at Tiffany's. It makes it easier with all the little ones being at home. We are fixing a regular meal though. Normally, we do deli sandwiches. I got a nice big ham instead! I hope you & your family have a terrific Christmas. If you do any travelling, be very carefull. Sherri
