I am finally more comfortable with my appearance and am going to interview for a job that I wouldn't have even considered 5 months ago. It's a semi PR/public eye type of position with the State. Someone actually recommended me so there is a lot riding on me and this interview. It would be a pay increase most definately as well as move me out of the "going no where" job I am in now. However, being in the public eye, appearance is alot. That being said I am in need of a sharp business suit for the interview. Preferably black (it's slimming right?) but anything will work. I am down almost 70lbs so I have no idea what true size I am. I guess I would be willing to try anything from a 16 to a 20. If anyone has any idea where I could get one or has one I could try on/borrow I'd really appreciate it. I'm going to look at Lane Bryant and Fashion Bug but I hate to buy anything I will just grow out of in a few months. However I can always have it altered. If anyone has anything available please let me know. I'd really appreciate it! Sam P.S. We close on the house tomorrow! Holy crap we're home owners! Another reason I can't afford a $200 suit! EEK!

Sam, As you know Im still a few sizes bigger than you and cant help you out on the clothes but I still wanted to tell you that Im so proud of you. I know what its like to be unhappy in a job but not see a way out. That is one of the reason I knew I was gonna have to lose wt so I could move on and I knew no one wanted to hire a 400 lbs woman. Im so happy to see you going for something new and better. Im also so excited for you are getting your new home. I hope everything continues to progress for you the way u desire it too. Im so looking forward to seeing your new body Sunday. I bet u are looking so awesome. Mariah

Thanks so much everyone!! I am going to try a few on at Fashion Bug this weekend or next week sometime. I am really excited!! Pam I have all the clothes ready for you. I can't wait to see you!! I just got home about an hour ago from working on the house. We signed today and immediately went in and started cleaning/painting. It is quite the undertaking! I'll let everyone know what I end up doing/wearing!! Thanks for all the good luck wishes!! Sam

Sam, Good luck on the job interview. My wife and I both had the surgery in April and have moved here from Ohio, changed jobs, bought a new house, and trying to sell a house all within the past couple months. I've been accused of going into the federal witness protection program because I'm changing my entire life all at once. We know what you mean about the cost of clothes and only wearing them a short time. We became frequent shoppers at GoodWill just for that reason. I wish you the best on the job and the new house. OOPS, I looked at the tag and the suit is an 18T. But I recall the skirt's waist seemed tight for an 18. Wow, look at all the present and former state employees here! I am in Public Works. Linda, we should get together and split a lunch sometime. Annette
