Scope results

Well, it was like I thought. I had a stricture. Dr. Gupta performed the scope, and she wants me to come back next week for another. So looks like next Tuesday I will be doing it again. I do have to say, I feel sooo much better. I am actually eating dinner right now, and it is all staying down. Yippee!!! Just wanted to let you all know what happened. And thanks for all the advice. Tina, don't ya just love Dr. Gupta???? After her doing my RNY, my revision, my hernia repair, and the majority (I think 13 of the 15) of my endo's, I just think she's tops! LOL! Slightly prejudiced, aren't I? glad you're feeling better! Sherri

Tina, Glad everything worked out for you and you are feeling better. I thought mine was a stricture too but it had something to do with my esophagus and my past GERD problems. I have to go for another one on the 3rd. Don't you just love those drugs? My husband said I woke up saying something about Johnny Depp.......wouldn't he like to know???? Anyways, glad you're better and will be able to enjoy the holiday. Regina

Regina, I have to go back on Tuesday the 26th to have another scope done. Dr. Gupta said my opening was down to 2 - 3 mm. She stretched it to 13 - 15 mm. The drugs were great! Apparently, I was really thirsty because when I came out of the endo room, my dad said the nurse asked if I wanted some Ice Chips, and I answered "Hell, yeah!" That is so not like me, guess I really wanted those ice chips Are they putting you on any medication for GERD problems? I hope you get better soon. It sure is no fun having stomach problems.
