Tuesday Morning,...
Hello, hope everyone's doing well. I am up and getting ready for work this morning. Today is my 4 weeks out. I have lost 29 pounds according to my home scale. I am very pleased. I would like to be at 30 pounds lost for my appointment Thursday. I bet I can do that. Last night we went to Petsmart and got my Christmas present. I got a cat. She's mostly siamese, although there are a few mottled spots on her, so you can tell she's not pure bred. That doesn't matter to me though. Snowy, is a sweet cat. Pets make me so happy.

Good morning everyone!
Well, I have my doc appointment at 10. I'll find out when he's going to release me to go back to work. I'm thinking that Friday would be good. I'd only have to be there 6 hours, and then I'll be off till Jan. 2nd. That would work out good to give my foot a little more time to heal without it counting against FMLA. I'll let you all know what he says.
I have been having so much fun getting such pretty Christmas cards! Claudette...thank you for that little extra something in there. I wasn't lucky but it sure was fun trying!
Well..you all have a good day!!

Cats are great. Do you have others or is this your first? I, personally, prefer the non-purebred types. I think they are smarter. My little black and white tuxedo cat is proof of that. We live on a very busy road and he has been allowed in or out his whole life. (He stays in most of the time now) He is 17 yo and new not to mess with the trucks on the road. I do like Siamese, they are such talkers and great companions. I'm sure you'll get along great with this one. I'm such a sucker for any animal. MY MIL called us last night in a panic becasue she saw a mouse run into her bedroom. They went to the W store and bought about $40 in mouse catching equipment. She has 5 cats in the house. We told her if she wouldn't put out a 5 plate smorgasboard all day long for her cats they probably would have taken care of the mouse for her. Her one cat has to weigh 25 pounds. I'll post a pic of him in my site. He is so spoiled. She puts him up on the counter to drink water from the faucet. (he's to fat to jump up himself) He is also diabetic and get insulin shots 2 times a day. I love cats but this is rediculous.
Anyway, linda, enjoy your christmas present.
Snowy sounds wonderful. I had a cat years ago that was the best cat ever. I miss him. We never had mice or spiders in the house as long as O'Malley was on the job. Each time we moved, there were never even cobwebs behind the fridge. He was the best!
I got up early and treated myself to a new hair color. A bit more red this time. With all the changes in my body, I have been changing everything else too. I cut my hair last week...I just bent over at the waist and gathered it together, pulled it straight up and whacked it off. Voila...long layers all over with one snip of the scissors.
I was going through my closet last night and boxing things for the clothing exchange and came across some things I had forgotten that I had. I may get one more wearing out of them between now and the 13th. I am looking forward to shopping your closets too.

Back from the doc...
I'm off of work till January 2nd. I have to try to get my foot use to a regular shoe before I can go back. Ah well. I was only planning on going back for 6 hours anyway before then. At least I have a date now. Anf then I can build my time back up to have FMLA time for ps
Although my appointment at Dr. Turkle's is January 7th, I don't plan on being able to have the surgeries till early fall '07.
Thank you all for the compliments on my picture trails. I really did think the world of Mary. You know how when you meet someone, you think 'wow, I could be good friends with her/him'? That's how it was for me from the first time we talked on the phone. We just really hit it off well. The picture trails was sort of a way for me to deal with her being gone from this earth.
Thank you also on the other compliments I've gotten. I love doing my craft stuff..it's my sanity.
Oh...got lots more cards in the mail today! Yeah!!

Congratulations on the new kitten. Sounds like there are alot of pet lovers in the group here. I have one old dog and one new cat and assorted guinea pigs. Spent a rough night last night, still not sure what is up with my digestive tract. They still have me on alot of medication and I wonder if some of the capsules are not causing a problem. Feeling better this morning, though. Hope everyone has a great tuesday.
Congrats on the great loss Linda!!! You are doing fantastic! Thank you for the Christmas card in the mail this morning. I got quite a few loser cards this AM.
I got our cat at a petshop there in Terre Haute. He was a rescue. It's a red barn but I'm not sure what street it is on. Anywho, he is such a great cat. He has such a fun personality. They really know how to comfort you. Him and the dog are best friends. The only problem we have is when he gets mad, he'll pee on the floor to let us know he's not happy. Right now he is really not happy with the boxes and crap everywhere. Oh well...he better not do that in the new house!!
Thanks for all the great cards everyone!! I swear I am getting mine together to go out slowly...packing is just taking first priority!
