excessive saliva
Shawna,
Call Dr. Gupta's office and talk to her nurse about it. I don't remember her name since Sue is gone. If you know you are chewing your food up well enough and you know you aren't over-eating, it could be a texture thing (ie dry chicken), lactose, or stricture (or ____, or ______, or _____ ...fill in the blanks..lol). With the foamy saliva though, I would bet on stricture though. It sounds like an endo is in order (see past posts for Regina). Dr. Gupta use to do them on Tuesday & Thursdays (at St. V's, Carmel) but will do them on the weekend or other day (if the room is available) if need be. At times, Dr. Cacucci will fill in for her too if need be. So...call their office and see.
Let us know what you find out.

shawna,
I get a lot of saliva and the foamies as soon as I put something in my mouth I should not have. i.e. sugar or to high of fat. I would also get nauseaus. Especially when I was only a few months out. Sometimes it had no rhyme or reason to it. I never had problems with my stoma closing. I did have an endo at 6 months out because they thought I had an ulcer, but I didn't and everything looked good. By the way I have never thrown up food, even when I ate to much, or something didn't agree. I just always get the foamies. The Doc. told me that a lot of patients are like that. I agree with Sherri though call the doc, and see what they say, you can never be to careful.
