It's Saturday, and I have lost 25 pounds in 2.5 weeks. I am so psyched. I just can't believe it's all going so well. 25 pounds was my goal for the first month, and I am ahead of schedule. Maybe I can bump that goal up to 30 pounds for the first month, and still feel confident of making it. Well, today is lessons day in our family. I took my son to tae kwon do lessons this morning, and my daughter to dance class. Now I'm at work for the duration of the day, until midnight. It's a long day, but the extra money is helpful. This is my second job, which is as a house manager at a domestic violence shelter. So, someone post, and give me something to read today Linda Vicory

Thats awesome Linda. its great how fast we can lose in those first few weeks. I had my apt yesterday and I got a blue t shirt at the baratric center for having lost over 100 lbs. Im almost 5 months post op and on my scale I had hit that 100 lb wt loss over a month ago. However, I went by my highest wt the day after my surgery which was 394 and the center only had my consult wt which was 379. They have me down 104 lbs. So Im weighting in at 275 now. So no matter where I started Im feeling great now. So much more energy. I have an exercise bike at work and I rode it last night. I try to do that at least 30 min a shift...some nights I can get in 2 hrs. Last night I only got in the 30 min becouse it was my first night back after being off several nights. Hopefully now that Im caught up on my work I can get at least an hr in tonight. Are u able to do exercises there at the shelter. Seems like that would be alot like where I work and u could use a bike at your chair. I got mine at Kmart several yrs ago. i think it was less than 50.00 and u put it at the foot of any chair thats not on wheels and u go to town peddling. I know it helps pass my nights when I just have to sit around watching my patients sleep. Hope u have a nice quiet and uneventful night. Mariah

Yeah, I don't think anyone would care if I brought something like that here. It's pretty quiet most of the time, just one of those situations of where when they need someone they really need someone, but alot of down time. I will have to look into something like that. It would help pass the time. Congratulations to you on being down 100 lb! That's awesome. I can't wait until i can say that. Linda Vicory

Congrats Linda, Your re-birthday was my daughter's 16th birthday! It's so cool to think of being able to lose that much weight forever in 2.5 wks!!!!!!!! I'm not sure when you get off work but my shift doesn't end until 2am I work at a homeless shelter we house women and children on one side of the building and men on the other side once in a while we will have a husband & wife with or without children. We do alot of juggling to try to meet the needs of the community. Cheryl
