St. Vincent Christmas party

Since I couldn't get away for the exchange my hubby has consented to ride down to Indy tues night for the St. V christmas party. Who all can I look for when I get there? What is the propper attire for this evening. I hate to go out and buy something new that is to fancy that I'd probably only wear once. Hope to see ya there.

Jan: Hi! I plan on going tomorrow night. I am not going overboard on dressing up. I just plan on wearing pants and nice shirt. Too cold for dresses and I'm not much for dressing fancy anyway. Hope to meet you there! Claudette

You will see people there in pant suits they have dressed up with a frilly blouse or in dresses... and you will see people who took thei oppertunity to go out.. what ever you wear you will fit in!!! HAVE fun I did my first year. Linda

Jan, I have seen anything from jeans to formal-wear at the past Christmas parties (this will be my 3rd). BTW...NO WHERE on their invitation does it say 'formal' so don't feel pressured into buying a one-time use dress! Personally, I usually wear either nice slacks or a skirt (last year was a skirt). This year, I haven't been able to go out & shop because of my foot...I also can't take a shower so no shaving my legs!....and the only pants that fits over this walking boot is a few pair of jeans. So....I just may be in jeans. I'm not going to worry about it. I'm going to see looser friends, NOT to make a statement of 'look at me'. So whatever you wear, just be comfortable! Hi, I am looking forward to seeing everyone- this year I am wearing a beaded top dress I borrowed from my girlfriend. It is "dress up" which I seldom if ever do ( last time was 1995 when I was in Mrs. Boone County contest). I really hope it warms up, or I may end up in slacks & a sweater! Since I have lost my "polor bear fat" I am freezing most of the time!!! Last year I was 6 weeks post op & wore a fleece sweater & slacks.Just wear whatever you feel your best in, & come!! I know that you'll see all kinds of attire, but the main reason I am going is to see my FRIENDS!!! It is so wonderful to go to something that isn't all about food~! See ya there! (((hugs))) Ellen

Tracey, There will be cheese, crackers, and fruit to eat. Tea, coffee, and water I think to drink. Last year there was a DJ. So...eat, drink, dance, and get to know new friends! Sherri

I still haven't decided if I am going since I will have to be going alone. What time does it start again? Maybe I will go if I feel up to it later today.

Leah, The invitation ssays arrival at 6:30, Program at ...and it's over at 9:30. The DJ will be going on from 7:30-9:30. Sherri
