Ok, so I am almost 2 weeks out from surgery (and when I went to the dr on tuesday, down 25 pounds, woot woot), but today, all day, I have been having this pain in my mid abdomen. (Its right below my inscision on my right side, if that helps you at all) My question is, should I call the dr, or just write it off as a muscle pull. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks, S.

Personally, I'd call. That's why they make the big money! They know better than we do whats going on withh our bodies, especially being so soon post op. Good luck!

Call your Doc. It could be just a normal healing pulling, but. I don't know if you had open or laproscpic and just how bad the pain is. Call the doc. They know the right questions to ask to determine. Like Darrah said, that is why we pay them the big bucks. Take it easy and congratulations on such a great start. It just keeps getting better and better.

Hello Scott, I had the same type of pain at about 4 weeks. I did call the Dr. and she stated it was probably just the scar tissue pulling from the muscle. I am now 6 months out and still can feel the odd feeling pretty regularly. I would definatly call, ther are so many possibilities. Good luck and wish you well. I will be at 6 months next week and am down 104lbs. WOW! It's worth every little twinge.

Scott, Did you call your doc? At 2 weeks post-op, I wouldn't think you would have (should have) done anything to have caused a pulled muscle. When-ever you have pain that isn't normal, call your surgeon's office. Most of us do have pain at the left incision site. That's where they typically go in with the stapler. Shoot, I still have a few owie moments with it and here I am +2 yr post-op. On the right side though, each time I've had pain there, it signified bigger problems (ulcers or hernia) ...so yep, I would definately call the doc! Since you are only 2 weeks out, it's probably just your incision talking to you, but better to be safe. How are you doing otherwise? Sherri
