Update on me (HeatherH)

I want to thank all of you who sent me messages on my support page. My surgery was to be at 11am on 10/20/06, but Dr. Huse was actually running ahead of schedule and they got me started at 9:45. Everything went well and w/ no complications what so ever. I went home that Monday 10/23/06. I actually lost 7 lbs. while in the hospital. I am 6 weeks out today and feel great. No pain or complications still, and I am officially down 54 pounds already. I have been able to tolerate my foods and liquids, but can't stand the protein powders so I just drink the milk and powdered milk mixture. I hope that there's going to be another clothing exchange before too long. At the rate I'm going, I'll definitely be needing some clothes soon. I started out at 386 and am now down to 332. My pants pre-op were a 32 and yesterday I tried on a size 28 stretch jean skirt and IT FIT!!! I was soooo excited!! I better stop rambling for now, but promise to keep updating as time goes on. I will be at the St. V's Christmas Party on the 5th. I hope to see some of you there!

Heather thanks for the update, so glad to hear that you are doing fine. congratulations on the weight loss. Sounds as though you are doing great without any complications. That is awesome in itself. I too could not satnd or tolerate the protein powders. I think the next clothing exchange is going to be in Danville but i can't remember when. Heather or anyone else, I have tons of 3x clothing if anyones in interested before the next clothing exchange. Contract me and we can arrange for you to pick them up. I cant wear them anymore and I dont have room to keep storing them. Plus as cold as its getting if someone can get use out of them I would love that. I have a 2 fur coats, 3 other coats...probably 40 sweaters and just alot more things. I wish we could have a clothing exchane like this week...LOL. Mariah, Thank you for the offer on the clothes. I'm in 4x now and not sure how long it will take me to get into 3x, so if anyone else needs them right now, please let them have the clothes. If not, I'd be glad to take them off your hands for future use. BTW...I was lucky enough to NOT have a drain after surgery. Dr. Huse said that everything went sooo smooth that he didn't feel that I needed one. Especially since there was minimal bleeding. THANK GOODNESS!!! As for the next clothing exchange.....I wonder how far Danville is from Anderson

great news...i am not sure when or where the next one is....i think tammy is doing it...so i get to see her awesome body again..hey tammy bring that granddaughter with that dress on cos i want to see her too...LOL....oh yeah and linda you will have a new itty bitty, bring him too ...i need a baby fix...so i may bring them home for a few days and love them and then send them back home....LOL....
