Has anyone heard from Mary Brown?
Hey Chris, thanks so much for letting me know how your sister is, unfortunately she is not the Mary Brown I was inquiring about. Since I was posting on the Indiana OH board, I thought I was pretty safe in asking just a general question about Mary. Thanks in taking time to answer me. Looks like you and your husband have done very well since WLS. Your pics look great. My surgery is scheduled for Dec. 20. Merry Christmas to me. I think this will be the greatest gift I have ever gotten. Karen
Wow...didn't know there was more than one Mary Brown! This Mary is from Attica.
Mary called me the other day. She's doing ok, but tired and worn out. I reminded her of the need for B12. Hopefully she pick some up & it's starting to kick in. She is doing terrific weight-wize...50 lbs loss already! Woo-hoo!

Sherri that is such great news! Last word I heard she was having trouble also with her incision and was readmitted to St. V's during one of the times that Gail was also readmitted. Thanks for the update. I will go to her surgery support page and post for her. I hadn't had a chance to check there before I posted this morning. Karen
That I know of, Mary wasn't readmitted once she was discharged. She was there longer than normal however. A large portion of the reason was due to getting her meds straightened up. Mary has several co-morbidities and other health issues, such as her heart. One of them caused an issue that most post-ops dream of..diareaha. Here most of us have constipation so bad! Hers was definately to an extreme that wasn't healthy. Once the doctor had that under control somewhat, Mary was released. When I talked with Mary the other day, I asked her specifically about her incision. While it is still sore as to be expected, it is healing good. Yeah!!
I'm sure Mary would welcome all notes of encouragement!
