and i'll be "under the knife" as they say. I can't remember a time I was this nervous, worries from the mundane, typical things about surgery in general, to the generalized apprehension that I really have no idea what lies ahead of me regarding this lifestyle change. If it works, I've been heavy forever and I'm thinking my old way of dealing with the world is going to be forever changed. Hope this 46 year old dog can learn some new tricks. Thanks for everyone who has written me and posted on my support page.

My thoughts and prayers will be with you. It is truly a wonderful journey you are beginning. I was 51 and very set in my ways. This surgery was a real miracle for me. I tried many diets over the years as most on here have. This was the tool I needed to make me a success. You just have to remeber it isn't magic. It is a tool you are give and to use it properly. Good luck and keep in touch.

I just had my surgery on the 20th, and everything you are feeling is normal. I had it so bad, I had the phone in my hand to call and cancel, and even though I am only 10 days out, I still wouldnt change a thing. Just try to surround yourself with positive people, and let us know if you need anything. You will be in my prayers. 10 days out, and I have already lost 25 pounds. You will be fine!! Trust me. Who is your Dr.? Take care, and catch you on the flip side. S.
