V.A. Hospital

Has anyone here used the VA hospital in Louisville, Ky? My son in law is a veteran and needs the RNY, he called them and we are out of the Louisville, area, and so he couldnt get it done there. I was curious if anyone else may have had it there. I thought a lady from clinton, In (shirley Mclain) may have had it there, I have done a member seaerch and find her or anything on the VA on old post. Thanks and enjoy the ride. Rosemary

Hi Rosemary!!! It's Shirley Mullen, the lady you were talking about. I am having the RNY done January 9th but medicare is paying for it. I was still on the list through the VA in Indy but I was able to get it done faster going thru medicare. If he still wants to get on the list through the VA see if the VA he goes to (i think I remember you saying that he goes to Danville) has the MOVE program. Indy got me on the list by enrolling me in the MOVE program. If Danville doesn't want to help, I would try to see if he could go to Indy. They have been extremely helpful. About the VA hospital in Louisville, I was going to go to Louisville because Indy has an agreement with them. Has your son seen a nutritionist at the VA? I know that like to see documentation from the nutritionist. Hope this helps, just contact me if you have any other questions.
