esophagus pain

New to the forum and just had LapBand surgery Friday. I'm constantly getting pain up my esophagus. Feels like a burp would relieve it, but then it goes back down into my stomach and the pain is gone for awhile. What is this and when will it go away?!

It's more then likely an esophageal spasm. It's somewhat common on new banders. Stay on liquids only (warmed to room temp) and let your surgeon's office know ASAP. Jodi 317H/267S/148c/167G
