Today has been one heck of a day! For starters, I got a call from Mary. Everyone, please keep her & Gail in your thoughts & prayers. It can be so hard to keep a positive attitude when complications happen. I know Mary is trying to keep a smile on her face..but she really sounded worn out on the phone. Hopefully the doctors will learn the culprit responsable for her infection soon. It sounds also like Gail will be released very soon. That is terrifc news! Although Mary would welcome visits & phone calls, try to give use the hospital phone #. I think it makes her a little nervous to have her cell phone on very long at a time up there with all the heart monitors going. Unfortunately, I had to cut Mary short so I could get to the foot doctor. He changed the bandage..and then asked some off the wall questions like was I having problems with pain in my calf (suspecting a blood clot for some reason??) or have I tripped or fell. Then, instead of scheduling me to come in to have the wire removed next week, he made it for in 2 weeks. I don't know if he saw something and didn't want to alarm me or what. I took a pic of my foot with my daughter's cell phone while he had the bandage off. lol. So..came home to pain meds. Woohoo. My next appointment isn't until Dec. 5th. I was planning on going to St. V's Christmas party with Bill. Now, I think I'm going to write the dieticians and see if my daughter can go with me as well so she can drive us. Angie...Dawn has offered to bring me to the ornament exchange. We'll have to see how the pain level is by then..k? Angie, Dawn, Linda, & Carmen....Thank you ladies. I do appreciate your caring attitudes. This whole foot thing has affected my weight loss in so many ways...but then, so did the endo's, perfs, strictures, etc. Huggs... You all have a good evening... Shoot i am a year out and still worried, even though I have come so far, can't imagine my nerves if I had gone through what they have, I know it can happen , but you always believe it won't happen to you! Hope the best for Scott and inda and all the new surgeries coming up, stay posive and know that we are all here for support! That dang foot, take care, hopefully soon you will be no longer remembering this time spent layed up, and off walking all of those many miles you were putting in before!!!! Look out, when you are ready, no one will be able to keep step with ya1 Hugz Dawn

Gee Sherri, I hope you get to come to the exchange. I sure did miss my Sherri-fix at the last clothing exchange. If you miss this get together I might have to go mental or something, hahahahah!!! Oh yeah - and I gotta give you your Harley **** wear from my mom, hahah!

Thanks for the update on Mary. Bummer about the wire in your toe not getting removed next week *cringes at thought still* Just make sure you take it easy. I am still unsure as to if I am going to make the St. V's Christmas party. I'll try to make the ornament exchange for sure! Sam
