NEW TO THIS

Hello, My name is Nicole and I am in the process of getting everything together for the my insurance aetna. I will tell you a little about myself I moved to pendleton In about 4.5 years ago to open the new Costco stores, we moved from Reno Nevada we love it here. My husband and I have been married for 8 years we have three kids, I am so glad to have found a site with people from indiana and not a million miles away! I hope that one day I will Have a surgery date that would be great!:fairy:

Welcome Nicole- I haven't been on this site for too long, but I can tell you that this is a fantastic group of people to be on this journey with. I recall "the dealing with the insurance company stage". I was in that stage from Feb 06 till the end of July 06. Long wait, many phone calls, many faxes, many tears, many letters, many, many prayers and finally success. I am a school teacher so I have a weird kind of insurance that is made up by many schools that have gone together and formed a trust. But I hung in there. My surgery is scheduled for Dec 20 with Dr. Inman at the St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel. You will love this board. You will love the prayers and feeling of support. Good luck. Karen

Good luck Sweetie... insurance is the worst part.. but it CAN happen so dont give up the first denial.. (if there is one) I have 2 grown sons and 4.1/2 grand kids. The new one is due Dec 8th. the first one was a boy (4) and I have a set of triplet granddaughters that are 2. Life is a blast now that I can get down and actually play with them instead of patting them on the head!! Linda

Welcome Nicole!! I'm sure the weather here is much different than Nevada and took some getting used to!! We are a fun and lively group (most days) and are always happy to help. This surgery is so incredibly worth it! I am almost 19 weeks post op and down over 60 pounds! Sam

Thanks! I feel like I am a slow loser but when I look at the picture it's not too shabby. That 3 week plateau really did a number on my momentum/self esteem. Oh well, I'm making up for it now. Sam
