Does anyone know about how many calories we should be ameing for at 11 months out. My weight loss has so slowed down. This month I've lost 0 pounds. I have even inched up 1-or 2 pounds then back down. I got out my yellow sheets and am going to really watch it. I went to Vegas last week, so that probably didn't help. I didn't overeat, but didn't drink enough. I also am noticing my appetite is coming back, just a little bit. I'm so frustrated, I have some of the same feelings I did about food and myself before the surgery. The anxious feelings, needing to stay in control, weighing myself all the time. Wondering what I'm doing wrong. I can't believe I feel like this, I've lost 110 pounds. I should be so happy, but I'm focusing on getting to goal, and afraid I won't get there. I'm 12 pounds from goal. Why am I son negative? Sarah

Sarah I am right in that same boat! I have all the same feelings and then some. I talked to the diet girl about calories and she said that at about I year she would like to see me at 1100-1200 cals. per day. So at 6 months she thought 500-600 would be ok. I don't know if this helps you or if it is different for us all. Smiles, Carmen PS you look great in your new picture!

Hi Sarah. Hey I only lost 1 pound last month. We just can't get discourgaged. We did a vacation also and I managed not to gain but I didn't lose any either. I know I've not been walking as much as I was before. (Shorter days and just not enough time) I know I've also been eating more. So I need to cut it back and kick it up a notch with the walking and mayby I can jump start my metabolism again. Now is the time to be on our gaurd IT IS THE HOLIDAY SEASON. The excuse I always had for eating extra's. My 10 month check with Dr. Evanson is on the 27. I'm 20 pounds more than I wanted to be for this appointment. I'm down 38 pound since my last visit six months ago. That is over 6 pounds a month average so I guess on paper it looks pretty good it just SEAMS so darn slow. listen to me ramble. You'll be OK Sarah. give me a ring sometime and we'll go do something. You still have to bring the kids out to see the donkeys sometime!

Hi Sarah~ You are doing great! It is very normal for your weight loss to slow down at the 11 month mark. But don't worry, its just temporary and you are probably losing inches. I also hit a long plateau @ the 10-11 month mark and that is when my appetite starting coming back. Try not to freak out, just take it one day at a time and keep reminding yourself of how far you've come. It helps me to look at pictures of the old me and to read journal entries from my pre-op days. But I will admit that I struggle with that everyday. Hang in there, you are doing great! Jaimee

I had my surgery the day before you did and I am/was having the exact same problem for a long time. There was about a 2-3 month period that I didn't feel like I was losing anything - but actually I was losing inches! I have been averaging about 10 lbs. a month for the last 6 months. I was getting really frustrated too! I've increased my liquids, switched up my exercise routine (thinking maybe my body got used to certain things), and expanded my selection of meals to include other types of foods (i.e. more vegetables). I have finally been able to get out of the 190's and I'll be entering the 170's in a week or so. It's frustrating, but keep doing what you're doing! Hugs, Nic****10/182/143)
