Tuesday...and Mary

Good morning everyone! I got a call from Mary last night. She seemed to be in really good spirits. One of her meds is causing an issue that most of us would be envious to have...everything goes right through her. I told her how alot of us end up with constipation instead. Anyway, the docs are trying to get that in control. She's appreciated all the calls & visits. Dan & Ann...she really appreciate you guys stopping by. I can't wait to meet her. She's always so upbeat and bubbly on the phone! Mary will be at St. V's for a few more days and then she'll be staying at her friend's, here in town, for about a week or so. Once she gets there, she should be able to hop on here and say hi to everyone. In the meantime, she's been doing her best to be a walking billboard for OH.com! LOL! Doc appointment is at 9 this morning. I think he'll be removing the stitches today. He'll also x-ray it to be sure it's still straight. Then he's going to add extra padding around the wire to try to keep the walking boot from hurting so much. I think he said that the wire has to stay until week 4 or 5. (Sam..the wire sticking out kinda freaks me out a little too. Today, I'll actually see it. Not sure how I feel about that.) I'll let you all know how it goes. All I know is that the instruction sheet said for me to take my pain meds prior to coming. That's a big reason why I'm up so early. Gotta take my thyroid pill, then wait 30 minutes before I can eat. And..I need food in my stomach in order to take the pain meds. I tried taking it once on an empty stomach and I won't make the mistake again. My stomach hurt for about 3 hours after that. After my doc appointment, we'll probably stop by Papa's for breakfast. Yeah! Getting out of the house! LOL! It'll be the first time since surgery. Then it'll be back home. Where...probably by that time, more pain meds and a long nap will be in order. I hope you all have a good Tuesday. Sherri

oh goody a good update for her for sure... good luck at the drs and oooh enjoy that breakfast....you will have a nice full pouch and pain meds you will need your rest..... glad you are doing so well too
