Good morning everyone! Yep, it's still technically 'morning'. I can't believe no one has started a daily thread yet at a quarter after 10! No big plans today. Tomorrow morning, I have my first follow-up appointment for my foot. Should be interesting since it's been more sore than the other foot was at this point. I have to try to wear that darn boot for a little bit today,. I haven't tried since that one day when it felt like the wire was trying to jab right through my foot. I have to wear it tomorrow though so I need to figure out a way to be ok with it today. Hello pain meds! Today, I'll be getting the last of the banner backgrounds done. I had started on the smaller front pieces before my surgery so after this last banner, I'll be able to get back to doing that. They are more fun! LOL! At the rate I'm going though, I'll be able to have all 16 banners done before Christmas. I think my next project will be to make my mom a train to go with the Christmas tree I made her a few years ago. I'm thinking about making Barbie stuff after that. We'll see. Hope you all have a good day today!! If you can't be physically busy, keep your mind & hands happy! Sherri

I am down to eight days until surgery. WooHoo! The cold is starting to clear up, except for some coughing. Hip Hip Hooray! I think I will be in fine shape for surgery. I am going to a St. V. support group meeting tomorrow night. If anyone out there is from the Terre Haute area, I wouldn't mind giving a ride. Let me know. Linda

Somehow, I think that being home and recovering from surgery is better than being at the big, red "L" today. Enjoy your time off crafting!! I am ducking out of work at 3. I can't take much more!!

Mel, Lillyapolis not doing well today I guess huh? Actually, I do miss being at work. But gotta wait till I can walk without pain first. Shoot, gotta wait till I can even make it through the day with it just propped up without pain first. My crafting keeps me from going nuts. Without it, I'd probably start back smoking. I HAVE to keep my hands busy and my mind active. Hard to do sometimes in a tylenol w/codiene haze. lol. Anyway, hope the big "L" is treating you better the rest of the week. What building do you work in? I'm in 130, Tech Services for Humalog at LTC south. Sherri

Hi Sherri!! It's actually the end of the day and my first time getting on here. Had a busy day at work today. My boss treated me to lunch which was really nice of him. Keep that foot up! The wire thing is what makes me cringe. EEK! Let us know how the Dr. goes tomorrow. I hit my first goal this weekend of weighing 230 pounds (after a 3 week stall!) That is what I weighed in May 2006 when I graduated college. That puts me at a 59 pound loss! Next goal is 215!! Hope to be there by the end of the month. Hope everyone has a good night!! Sam
