We just brought home a 7 week old baby kitten. It was homeless and so cute. We haven't had a cat since our old one got hit by a car about two years ago. It was so sad for the kids we just couldn't replace him. But when we saw this baby that needed a home we all agreed at once that we needed him or her, we can't tell. LOL I bet the vet will be able to tell us next week, but until then it is just kitty. I hope it takes to all the kids at our house. I don't even believe it is that old he is very small and sucks on everything. I bought a bottle and stuff just in case it can't eat real food yet. Our dog is a Papillion and she has been playing a great mother role. They are so cute together. I hope you all are doing well, Carmen

I'm right with you. I can't even look at the pictures the local animal shelter puts up. I want to bring them all home. Look at it this way. Having pets is a good learning experianece for the kids. They can have the responsibilty of keeping them fed and watered. I'm sure they will just love it to pieces. My cat (Mercedes) is 16 now and is the smartest cat I've ever had.(he was laying on the floor next to me but just jumped up to see what I was doing****ep telling my self that when he is gone I won't get another butttttt???? Good luck with miss (or mr) kitty.

Sorry Sweetie you are not a Sucker....here is the true definition of a Sucker. Once upon a time there was a widow who lived with her little cat named Cute. They were very happy living in a big farmhouse living up North..... until the widow met a tall handsome man from New Whiteland. The tall handsome man was a confirmed cat hater, at least until he met Cute and fell in love. One day a stray cat walked into the tall handsome mans house and decided to live with him. The tall handsome man bought a litter box and Boo was added to the household. On a cold snowy Christmas Eve the tall handsome man proposed to the Widow and she accepted. In March a poor beat up deaf cat straggled onto the deck of the Widows home and the tall handsome man and his intended bride took him to the vet and doctored him and brought Star home to be loved with the other two cats. The tall handsome man kept the 2 cats at his home and when he married the widow in May, he moved her and the sweet little cat Cute to his home. In November, a neighbor down the street found a little 4 week old Siamese kitten hanging by her neck in the horse barn and needed someone to take it in. As the Tall handsome man "Dad" and his brides Daughter fell in love with the little ball of fluff... Sadie joined the family. After much love and bottle nursing she grew into a lovely young kitty. In May of the following year, the same neighbor brought by another boy Siamese kitten found in the same barn needing a home.....the tall handsome man looked so forlorn that his wife said ok to adding Rocky to the family......making a solemn vow to not add any more cats to the brood. Then in the fall... another knock on the door...with a baby fur ball...the tall handsome man was once again in love and Dittie was going to be the absolute LAST. Rocky and Dittie both had visits to the vet to ensure they could not be fathers, however.....one evening the tall handsome man's wife was cuddling with Sadie and noticed she was heavier and then it dawned on her that her precious Sadie was embarking on motherhood. While the happy couple was vacation in Vegas the daughter if the couple was keeping care of the cats at home and called with the announcement that the babies were born on Friday the 13th of May 2005. Sadie had 3 babies, one was stillborn...we call her Angel. She was buried by the mini barn with great sadness. The other 2 babies were named by the tall handsome man. The boy was called Triskaidekaphobia, Tris for short (meaning fear if the number 13) and the little girl was named Friday. In honor of the day they were born. All was well in the house of the tall handsome man and his happy family. The babies grew and all was well. For several months the tall handsome man watched out his kitchen window and would see a very ugly raggedy cat luring around the mini barn. Being the kind hearted man that he was....... He was soon putting bowls of water and food out for the little cat. One day months later the cat in appreciation came toward the tall handsome man and let him pet her and pick her up. His loving wife heard the words coming thru the kitchen window, Honey come see what I have here. With dread in her heart his wife opened the door and saw the most pitiful site! This poor abused cat was just a bag of bones and almost dead according to the vet. She had a dislocated jaw that had been broken, her tail was broken completely in 2 places and she weighed 4 ½ pounds and was about 2 years old. After shots and treatement she was brought in the family fold and Annie was with home. Named for being a little orphan. She soon grew with the food and love provided and is now over 10 pounds and quite the beauty. She is so grateful for her home and is truly the best cat. So our story ends...well not quite....in June the tall handsome man's son was to be married and his 2 stepsisters were to be in the wedding. The oldest sister had a puppy that she could no longer care for due to her working schedule so the little puppy was brought to "Mom & Dad's " for the wedding and Bailey was going to stay at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Well the Tall handsome man (Grandpa) was truly a dog lover all along and of course his heart was so happy to have the puppy and the puppy adored him back. The tall handsome mans wife was not particularly a dog lover but agreed to "trying" this out. After many days of shampooing carpets and repairing chewed up furniture Bailey was now a fixture in the happy home. So now the lonely widow and her little cat, and the single tall handsome man now have a family of 9 cats and 1 dog in a small little home that is filled with love. And they lived happily ever after..... The End...... That my dear friend is the true meaning of Sucker! I know as I was the lonely widow with one cat! Sorry to be so long but I had to share! Have a wonderful day! Hugs! Marianne

Carmen There must be something in the air. Ann and I brought a 4 month old grey kitten home this week. One of our tenants had it outside on the front porch and did not really want it. We were sure it would get run over on the busy street, so here I sit with this kitten batting my pens around my desk. She likes to get on my keyboard and see what I am doing. She is a real loveable pest. My three dogs are not sure about what she is. My big German Shepard believe it or not is afraid of the kitten and heads off in the opposite direction when she sees the kitten. Dan

Awwwhhhh Dans a new PAPA!!!! How sweet. I have a little grey kitty too. Shes a Russian Blue. We got her at an animal help shelter. Adopted her about 2 yrs ago. Talk about pests. I used to call her my tumor. She was always glued to me. Took some getting used to. Know I dont know what I would do without her. When Carmen and I were in Lexington I missed her more than Andy....LOL Well good luck with your kitty....did u name her? Mariah

Hi Kiddo Our little kitten is named Tinker Bell officially but I have several other names for her. She is highly active and likes to sit here on the test when I am on the computer. She is a pest some times. Thinks she has to set on top of either Ann or mself all the time. Papa Dan

Hehe. If you are a sucker, it's in a sweet way. I am right there with you. I have two dogs and two kitties. Three of the group came from the Humane Society. I have been a HS foster parent, too. Linda
