I just wanted to thank everyone that emailed me this week to see how I was doing. I know I havent posted much lately. However, it was nice to be missed. I got six emails from you wonderful ppl. The last few days have just been so hectic. Andy was home. I usually post less from Wed - Fri. I just wanted to let everyone know that Im still alive. When I was at the wt Im at now...I was wearing a 3x on my way up the scales...but now Im in a 2x. At the last clothing exchange I got lots of 3x clothes and now nothing is fitting me. I can swim in most of my pants. I should have thought ahead and got 1/2 3x and 1/2 in a 2x. Guess I'll know for the next one. Im so looking forward to Jan. I already have clothes pileing up in boxes to bring. I went 2 days ago and got a Makeover at Dillards@ the Lancombe counter. A co-worker of my husbands...partner works at the make up counter there. So while I was getting my face done Andy bought me some new Calvin Kline cologne and lotion in a sent called Euphoria. Its really nice. Today I went back to get the shower gel and noticed that they had clothing on sale at 75% off. So anyone needing clothing might want to go to their local Dillards and check out the clearance racks. I bought 4 new blouses and one Tshirt in a 24. Got it all under 40.00. I was more excited about the size than the price though. Wow...thats so much better than the 30/32 I was buying 5 months ago. I also finally broke down and bought a digital scale after getting on my parents scale this week. On my old one at home I had been weighting in at 285 for 2 weeks. The scale I knew was wrong but now it seemed just stuck(maybe it will start working when I really hit that wt). My parents was similar to what my Drs scale is; so I went out and got a digital one. Im now below 300 ...294 even on my parents and on my new scale. Thats pretty exciting. ...Yipee!!!! So in the last 2 weeks when my scale wasnt moving I had really lost 10 lbs since my parents had been 20 lbs higher than mine the past 3 months. Ok one more thing and I'll shut up...Has anyone heard from Mary Brown today. I hope she is doing well. I hope Dan was able to visit with her today and that he had a good visit with Dr. C. ....fill us in Papa Dan ME

Losing sizes sounds so exciting! Congratulations on your weight loss I don't know if I just go to the wrong sales, but I find it hard to find plus sized clothes on the clearance racks (@ 50% or more). Seems like they always have racks and racks, marked to almost nothing, of the smaller sized clothing. Am glad you found some good stuff.

CK, Well I know at Dillards their plus sizes are in their own dept...seperate from all the others. It wasnt really a store I shopped at much for myself when I was pre surgery. I usually stuck with Lane Bryant or Walmart. I would go to Dillards for gifts for my dad or my husband. It was just a freak thing I even looked at that dept today and it was a great suprise to find somethings I liked plus that were on sale. I needed them too with the holidays coming up. So many things going on at work I need something nice but casual to wear. Hey Carmen, Looks like Im gonna need a date for the Christmas Party at St. V's. Its formal and on a Tuesday and Andy wont be back from LA until Wed. So if u wanna go let me know. Im going if I can get in Sams Dress by the time of the party. I will try it on Sunday when I take my 4 month measurements. I havent had it on in a month. I can meet u somewhere in Indy and u can dance with Papa Dan....lol. Since u missed out on that in LExington

Well I was so excited tonight after my body wrap I tried on dresses. The dress Sam gave me I thought was a 24....well I couldnt get in it and I was so disappointed becouse I knew there was no way I would get in this dress before Dec...it was like still 4 or 5 inches from zipping up the entire way...well at a closer look this dress is a size 20....OMG...it will be spring before I can wear that thing... Im to poor right now to afford a new formal....I'll have to look long and hard for a used one. I so want to go to this...but a new dress right before Christmas is so out of the question for me....esp since my job is supposed to end the last day of Dec. I do have a short black dress Sam gave me that fits. It was a 24 and I still have a 28 velvet dress I had pre -surgery but again both of these dresses are short...not formal. Can anyone who has been to this Christmas party in the past tell me how dressed up everyone gets???...I was told its very formal. Well I'll keep u posted Carmen if I can find a dress.

You were told wrong. People dress anywhere from very casual (jeans) to very formal...and everywhere in-between. There's only a handful of people who go extremely formal actually. There's some pics on my www.picturetrails/sweetsherri61 under 'WLS Friends & Family' that would give you an idea (the ones of Deb, Linda, Julie, and I). Sherri

You got a makeover? That is so cool give me more details!! I always wanted to do one, but they never offered me one. I think it was because I was so big and shy. What did they do to ya? How did you like it? Did you buy anything from them? Just wondering what great stuff they offered. I love that perfume is it the one in the little pink and silver bottle? My girls gave me some for mother's day, but Jim isn't too fond of it so I don't put it on too often. Now I have a yearning to go smell it and put some on. LOL Big Congrats on the under 300!!!!!! That is so awesome! I am so happy for you. How does that make you feel? I bet great. I just love to read how much everyone is loosing it just brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart. I just know how much better we all feel after the weight start falling off. Keep it up, Carmen

I have had lots of those makeovers in the past. Usually I hate them. This one was really good all but the blue ***** eyeshadow he put on me....guess its coming back in style but I hate blue so it just wasnt for me. I heard on TV once u should never wear blue unless u are a prostitue and Ive stuck by that all these yrs now...lol I really like the Euphoria too. It is the one in the pink/plum bottle with silver trim. I should have known it if it was pink u would have owned it...LOL. Andy really likes it too. He really liked it before I did...it had to grow on me. Im feeling great. Not losing as fast as I would like to but as long as I keep going in the right directions Im not complaining. Im still not going to the gym like I should so I have only myself to blame. This last month I really slacked off of the gym and eating exactly as I should. Im back on track the last few days and Im keeping to it this time. I need all the strenght I can going into the holidays. Also anyone having concerns about losing hair. Before surgery for about a yr I was taking a vit. called Healthy hair skin and nails, When I had surgery I stopped taking it until about 2 weeks ago. Im back on it now...because I can tolerate swallowing caps again. I swear this prod. is what kept me from loosing any hair ....well its on sale as the todays special value on HSN.com today. Love this stuff and just thought I would share incase anyone would like to get some. Great suff for a great price. It has 3000mcg's of biotin in it...along with other great things. Also today was my 4th month birthday....I did my measurements (on my profile) and I will do my wt when I finally go downstairs where the scale is. Im down 6 inches in just my chest, waist and hips this month and a total of 34.75 since surgery.
