I have a cold

It's eleven days until surgery, and I have a cold! I went out and bought zicam and cold eeze tonight. I am going to try everything to keep on schedule. If I get rescheduled after the new year, I will have to go through insurance approval all over again, as our insurance is changing first of the year. Oh dear. Otherwise, everything is going well. I'm starting to feel really positive again, and not so worried. I have gotten my things I'll need for the hospital and home afterwards, except for perishables, that I'll need to get right before going to the hospital, like the 1% milk. (I am afraid that will taste awful after drinking skim milk for years upon years.) I have gotten ready with my meds for after I get home. I talked to my doctor about the only pills I didn't think I'd be able to swallow, and turns out there's a liquid suspension for that. So, I'm in good shape! Any advice on how to get rid of the cold is welcome! Linda

Linda I wish I could help you with how to get rid of the cold. That is a $64,000.00 question. Ann and I usually take Nite Qyle and drink lots of orange juice and take mega doses of Vitamin C. I sure hope you shake it before your surgery date and do not to go thru the insurance hassel again. Will keep you in our prayers. Dan

hopefully you will have enough time to get well....i am having my first sinus problem since surgery and after 2 weeks went to the dr, i have some horse size pills to take, and wondering if they are doing any good, cos after 2 years i would think i would absorb more.. also seems to me someone said once thier dr said as long as they did not have a temp, surgery was ok....
