New to the Indiana message board
Hello, I want to introduce myself. I am Ty Ann, post op RNY 4/11/06. I had my suurgery in Elkhart by Dr Hoekstra. Amazing staff and I can't say enough about them, they are all great.
I am now just shy of 7 months post op and down 112lbs. Feel great and I finally am beginning to like the way I look again.
I can't wait to hear from you all. I really need a support system to keep my focused and going to the gym.

Welcome. I am also from Elkhart. I have not yet had my surgery. I had a date for November 14th but I had to change that and today I got a date for November 29th, but I think I will have to push that back a little also.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hello and welcome you.

I live in South Bend so I am just a hop, skip & jump away from you! Its nice to see other people from Nothern Indiana hopping on the boards. Although I have to admit that I haven't been on the boards for a few months due in internet access problems!! 
I'm 14 months post op and had my surgery @ Memorial. I've lost approx 165-170 pounds and I personally would like to lose another 20 or so. I have a few friends/co-workers who had their surgerys w/ Dr. Hokestra as well. Please email me if you get a chance, I would LOVE to try to get a group of post op's together. Even if it is just a quick meeting for coffee or something; iced, non-fat, sugar free vanilla latte anyone?

I am just south of us 20 bypass so I am really close to South Bend. I am enjoying all the shoppong at the new Erksine Village. It is great to love shopping again. AS I said I am 7 months post op and down 112lbs. I am 43 lbs from my 1st goal and I would like to loose a total of 190. I am so excited about how wonderful I feel and how active I have also become. My husband is having trouble keeping up with me and I love it.
Please let me know when and where you would like to set up a meeting. Lets see if we can all help each other through this new chapter in our lives.
