Prayers needed... PLEASE
Gail,
Thank you for the kind words, I know to call ya, but I need ya to be strong for yourself right now, too! Just know that I know you are thinking/keeping me in your thoughts and prayers and that is what I need most from you now! Keep up your new journey, good luck at the doc's Tues, let me know what ya find out! Love ya- hugz Dawn
Dawn, You did the right thing..sound like the same thing that happen to my Grandpa...as a granddaughter but also as a nurse I would have done the same thing..it really puts you in a bad position...you love him and want him to get well and you struggle about his rights and want he might want...there may come a time that he does go home and grandma makes the decision for him that he would be better home where his family is along as he gets home care...they often want to live the rest of their life around familiar surroundings and family and friends...no one can predict it and all of our lives are roads untraveled...know that he loves you and knows that you did the best for him...also continue to tell him that even if he can't responds to you verbally and appears frustrated that he can't...he can hear you..encourage all of his family to give him good comforting words...this will help him continue to gather strength and comfort...I see this everyday in my job..as far as your weight loss..continue to do what you have been doing and take it one day at a time like Grandpa...that is all we have...I will pray for you and hope that this circle of friends will give you strength...you are stronger than you think...Linda
WOW, being a granddaughter was tough yesterday, but I know in my heart I was right! He is stable, but we did find out he does also have pneumonia, so I truly believe he is where he needs to be so he can get as well as he can!Thank you for your kind words and thinking of me and my family during this difficult time! It is appreciated! Hugz Dawn
Thanks Sam,
I am off to go and visit him, will probably be there a few days! My aunt is flying home from Fl. tomorrow, they are putting a feeding tube in, in the a.m and he hasn't been very responsive today, and has a fever! Please continue to keep us in your prayers, this is so difficult for me to see him in this condition! Thanks for your response! Hugz Dawn
