Hi everyone, I have been a bit down as of late due to thinking I am not doing well on my weightloss with my 1st year right around the corner, anyway, not only all of this going on, I received a call from my mother that my gpa we believe had a stroke and wasn't doing to well and my gma asked for us to come and visit him today out of town, of course he refused to go to the hospital when this happened last Sunday, so after going I could not believe how much HE was NOT my gpa, and was in pain, couldn't speak, lost his kidney control and is not able to move his right side, so I told my gma he NEEDED to go to the hospital, she said he would fight it, HELLO how is he going to fight, so I called 911 and told them he doesn't want to go BUT WE think he needs to and he is IN the hospital tonight as we speak, he did have another stroke and also had signs of infection in his lungs so on IV he went and is staying indefinitely! By the way the only words I clearly heard him speak to me were yeah - mad, that was after he was crying terribly and I asked him what was wrong? was he in pain? was he scared? Are you mad at me? UUGGHH!!! I know I did the right thing, he is 81 years old and one of the most important people in my life!!!! It is so disheartening to not hear him and not know his pain and not feel his hugs and kisses..... I am so sorry for rambling, it has been a long day! PLEASE, keep myself and my family especially my gpa in your thoughts and prayers! Thanks everyone, hope you all have a great weekend! Hugz Dawn By the way, after visiting my gpa, I know that my insecurities within myself are not important at this time and that this is a much greater need and importance to me! I am CRAZY!!!I feel so terrible! But I will be ok!

Oh Dawn I'm so sorry about your GRP I hope he makes a swift recovery and returns home before too long. You did good getting him the care he needed. As for your weight loss concerns... I know that I have heard you say a ton of times how much better you feel and how much your health has improved, so try to focus on those things when you are feeling down. It doesn't always have to be about the scale, but about how much better your life is now! You are a beautiful woman and don't you forget it!!! Hugs, Carmen

Dawn, First off you have got to believe that you done the right thing for your Grandpa. I would have done the same exact thing. At least he is somewhere where he can be moniterd and watched very closely and get the help that he needs. Now for your weight loss....You have got to remember that we all lose at different rates...We are not all the same.Just by looking at your pictures I can tell that you have come a long way. And we don't always lose pounds but instead we lose inches. Also just looking at your pictures tells me how much happier you are now than you were before. You have a special glow about yourself. I am not trying to say you were not happy before, I am just saying you seem much happier. You are doing a great job, just hang in there you are doing fine. If you need someone to talk to please by all means Dawn call me. If you don't have my number anymore just e-mail me and I will send it to you via e-mail or if you just want to correspond by e-mail that is ok too. I will most definately keep you and your family in my prayers. Just hang in there all will be fine. Dawn

Dawn, you and your family are in my prayers. When you get to beating yourself up about your rate of weightloss...just remember this is a life long committment and your will be working on this forever. In those terms you are still a beginner! The weight will come off at the rate it is supposed to and all you need to do is focus on staying on track with your healthy eating and exercise. Relax sweetie, you are doing great! Don't let your old frame of mind haunt you and control your thoughts. You are a success and in a year you will look back and say...what was I thinking! Hugs! Marianne

I know I need to let go of all of the negativity and be greatful for the loss and WOW's that I have had, it has been an amazing journey for me, I just am having a head game phase right now! UUGGHH!! I must move on- others are going through much worse, and need to be focusing on that at this point! I am on my way!! Hugz Dawn
