Waiting for approval and looking for support

Hey everyone, I'm seeing Dr Kadarabek and I'm still waiting on insurance approval. I recently filed an appeal and I have CIgna HMO. If anyone has any pointers please let me know. I'm a 25 year old married female who's bmi is 43 i'm 5'7" and weigh 290 last time i checked. I've been overweight since I was 12 and I DESPERATELY want to have this surgery so I can live, be healthy, and be NORMAL. I'm starting therapy in about 4 weeks to start working on the reasons why I eat. I know it's an emotional thing and I want to work on some of those things before I get my drug of choice taken away. Anyone have any pointers? ANy words of encouragement? I look forward to hearing from everyone!!! I want to make some friends that understand where I'm coming from and can beomce a support system for me and in turn I for them. Love peace and chicken grease, Jessyca

I'm no shrink.. but I am learning that food is no comfort.. We need Protien for our muscles and veggies and fruits...to Live but for happiness , comfort and satisfaction in the life I am living I need to reach out and reach in and find the strength from others and myself. Swallowing something will not solve a problem only create more. I lived 25 years in a body I was not happy with... I wont do it again. Best of luck on your journey. Linda

shoot linda you have the mind of a 25 year old!!!!!! and my hats off to you....you have done great as a loser... and hey she is near by in avon....she may want to meet us for our next 1/2 off goodwill run....LOL...i know i know i am always thinking and planning..last year it was the sat after thanksgiving....lol...so i gotta make sure i keep money back from BLACK FRIDAY so i have goodwill money...

I can sure tell you CIGNA SUCKS..........i have a support site for just cigna, do you belong to the squeakywheels? email me [email protected] and i will send you the site link...Gary has been on that board since day one and he offers free advise and is of a great help... have you called cigna to be sure it is covered? have you done the 6 month diet? get those things done if it is part of your policey and with cigna be ready for the fight of your life and DO NOT GIVE INTO THEM and not fight this...cigna does now have case managers and they are of a help from what others have been saying...cigna jiust hopes you go away....
