Pre-op testing, DONE.

Went and had my pre-op testing done this morning. It went very well, and the Dr. put me on Toprol for my b/p. It was a little elevated (148/75), and he told me that would take care of it, and cleared me for surgery. Now we are just waiting on a date.....this is worse than waiting on the approval. But that is out of my hair, and I am on my way!!!! No Barrium, is that normal? S.

Not sure about the barium but just wanted to say YAHOO for getting that pre-op testing done! Can't wait for you to get a date! Then we can all plan on coming up to visit you!! Sam

Humm... the ONLY reason I didnt have the barium is because I had a scope done the month before by another Dr and I told him to write a good report becase I was taking it to the Dr who would be cutting my stomach off.. He looked at me weird then suggested the Dr I should see... Im glad your testing is over and wish you a happy journey... the best is yet to be!! Linda

WOW Scott, it must have been you're lucky day. I would have gladly shared my cup of barium with you. Anyway, glad that is all over and you're waiting for a date. I too am waiting for my date but the doctor found something in my stomach (polyps) that may need to be removed before surgery. So another waiting period........ Regina
