Wheres Everybody been?????PS question.

Actually, i think its me that is MIA. New job has kept me hopping. almost to much as i find it harder and harder to exercise. The job i have is more physical than the last but im still WAY behind and my flabby/loose skin is showing me. Down 136 pounds so im still losing.....thats still good. How long did you guys wait to talk to a plastic surgeon?

Troy, I've consulted with Turkle & Associates via email. Great group to get questions answered! Anyway, it was recommended that I wait until I am within 20 lbs of my end goal to come in for my face to face consultation. I chose 140 as my end goal only because that would place me right in the middle of my BMI range for 'normal'. After the skin is removed, it will place me pretty close to 140 as most post-ops usually do have ~20 lb of skin removed. If I lost to 140, then had the 20 lb of skin removed, I'd look anorexic. If I had the skin removed now and then lost the last 10, it would be as firm nor look as good...although...if I had it now, I would have a 'normal' BMI of under 25 so hmmm...maybe I'm VERY close! Oh well, gotta get my feet taken care of first anyway. Hope this helped... Sherri

Ooooohhhhh...I got psyched writing you! I figured out that if I had the PS right now, I would be in the NORMAL BMI range!!! So....just got off the phone with Sherri (yeah, her name is Sherri too!) at Dr. Turkles and I have an appointment for a consult on January 8th!! Woo-hoo! Sherri

Naner Naner Sherri - I see Dr Turkle November 21st. Of course I'm already under doctor anticipated goal so I'm ready to go, hahaha.

My 1 year surgery Ann. was yesterday...I had PS done on 10/06/06 through Dr. Turkle and Assoc. out of Carmel. I had 3 procedures done, I had an Abdom., pannis removal, BL & Reduction and removal of axillary breast tissue. My highest weight was 334 (last year) and the day of my PS I weighed 178, today I got on the scale I weighed 169 (I'm 5'8) so I would like to get down another 5lbs. or so and then keep focusing on maintaining. As far as the surgery goes.....this surgery made my Bariatric surgery seem like a piece of cake, I'm quite sore and swollen. The closer you are to your goal weight you are, the better.
