Sigh. I work for the state of Indiana, and I just found out this week, that they are discontinueing my insurance plan for next year. I will have to choose a different plan. I was really disheartened at first, because I don't know if the other plans cover WLS. But I figure there's no reason to worry and get upset until I know what they may or may not cover. I have Anthem Traditional 1 now. There is an Anthem Traditional 2 plan, also, that is still supposed to be available next year. I am hoping that will cover WLS. Does anyone on here perchance work for the state, too, and know about this? Linda

Actually a few of us do. Mariah and I both have Anthem Traditional 2 (the PPO) and it is what covered our surgery. I am unsure as to what Peggy has. I am working for FSSA and always running around the Government Center. Perhaps I'll see you sometime! Sam

Hi I used to work for the BMV and had both Anthem 1 & 2 (I switched to 2 the last year I was there) and to be honest I liked it better. I know one of the ladies that worked at a different branch had Anthem 2 and got it covered. When I had my surgery I had already changed jobs. Good Luck Tina

I work for IDOR... I have Anthem 2 and had no problems with the insurance coverage. I had already done more than 6 months with Dr Piatek and they accepted that. I even added the receipts totaled saying I had self paid over 3000. and not lost anything... Peggy works for DOC.. there are several of us floating around!! Linda
