support group

Hello. I am going to be taking the MMPI this week, as requested by Dr. Stote, after my psychological evaluation. I have taken it before, so my psychologist is going to send the old scores to him, so he can compare how I'm doing now. I think it will go okay. He told me I would need to start attending support group sessions. I think that is a good idea. Do they have everybody do that, though? Just wondering. Linda

Linda, I didnt have to take that test so I have no idea what u are about to go thru. I wish u all the best. I'll keep u in my prayers this week. You might also let them know that u are doing an online support group as well as the in person ones u attend. I know I told dr. Stote that and that I had joined a gym... That worked out to my good. He was impressed that I was doing so much work on my health and mental well being before surgery. Good Luck Mariah

I agree with Mariah.. it really impressed the Dr I was so into this group.. as well as going to my Speedway support. Letting him know I KNEW support for this surgery was needed and helpful impressed the heck out of him. Support is necessary No one should do this alone!! It is possible but you miss so many great friends!!! and help is always close by. This surgery isnt easy but ... darn I would do it again tomorrow. Linda
