new test

hi every1 well i guess im very upset had a abn. ekg so....have 2 go for a test,dob cardiolite testplus insurance put on suspendtion till i get proof of 6months diet,,wls seems farther and farther away...im sorry for the dump but im sitting here crying ...my hope is running thin plus changed doc this 1 dont believe in pain meds ...keep me in your prayers,im not giving up hope cause like the preacher said this morning that 1 door closes another opens ...sure is hard though to keep the faith gle1 thanks for the listen jackie

Jackie, Pre-op, my step-father had an iregular EKG so they ran tests on him too. Everything came back fine. Look at it this way, it's better to be cautious pre-op than having surprises during the surgery. I'm surprised that your insurance didn't require the 6 months of pcp surpervised dieting before they gave the initial ok. That's pretty standard to require that. I hope you got it started. You may want to contact the insurance & see what all they want. Some also want to see proof of you going to a dietician as well. Some just want to see weight & bp measurements by your pcp office with a small paragragh of what was discussed at that appointment (ie...food plan, exercise). Others may want to see a food/exercise journal (Excel is great for this). If you know exactly what is wanted...and then exceed that...your chances of approval in 6 months will be much better. And in the meantime, it gives you the chance to find out what this EKG business is all about. Good luck...and chin up. 6 months will fly by! Sherri
