Happy Weekend All! This is going to be a beautiful weekend!! I love these cool nights and sunny days! Ah...it is the life! I am down 109 pounds as if this morning so all I can say is "God Bless Cottage Cheese" I swear by it! It is a miracle food! Where else can you get so much protein for so little calories! Since I moved it back into my daily eatiing routine my weight loss has picked up and I am thrilled. I never thought I would get out of the 290/300 area on my scales! Sheesh! I had almost resigned myself that that was going to be a permanent place for me My goal was to be down 110 pounds when we leave for Vegas on the 27th so I figure I am just as good as there being only one pound away at 288! That will make me exactly 42 pounds less that when we went in May. Thank you Jesus for this wonderful journey! All in all I am doing very well...My hair has stopped thinning and I have lots of new hair cropping up at the roots so I figure by Christmas I will be back to normal! It was pretty scary when it was thinning but I just kept the faith that it was normal and kept taking my biotin and keeping my fluids and protein up. With my "fluffy" hairstyle no one else has noticed it but I could sure tell a difference in the texture. I had the nicest compliment this week....I work for an amazing company and my boss is the best! She is this little petite lady and her husband came by and asked if I was hiding her, I said no...but she probably could stand behind me and not be seen.....he said ..not for much longer. It really made my day! I feel so awesome at this size and to have others really notice the change really feels so wonderful! I discovered a wonderful new drink this week! I love Lemonade and have only been able to find the regular as I am allergic to aspertame. Well...Aldi's has a fit and active one liter bottle of Lemonade and Strawberry/Lemonade made with Splenda that is awesome! It is zero calories and zero carbs and soooooo Delicious! I am in hog heaven! I like it so well that my fluid intake is up and I think that is another reason the pounds are melting again. I just wish I had found this earlier in the season! That is just about it for me My Life is so good and my cup runneth over with Blessings! You all have a Fabulous Day and a Fantastic Weekend! Hugs! Marianne 397/288/Healthy Goddess!

Marianne, How far out were u when your hair started falling out? I havent had that happen yet but it is my biggest fear. Im happy for you that you get another trip to Vegas but unhappy for me that I wont get to meet you at the clothing exchange in Oct. You were such an inspiration to me when I started this journey. Your profile was one of the first that I read. So let me thank you on here since I wont be able to thank you in person in Oct for being a great example and for pushing me to keep eating that cottage cheese. Thanks!!!! Have a great trip too!!! Mariah, You are such a sweetie! I miss not being able to see you all at this exchange too but am looking forward to the January one! My hair started thinning at exactly 4 months to the day from surgery! They say it happens between 4 to 6 months out from any major surgery. I was feafull of it and really thought I could beat it But.....I got out of the shower and there was a little pile of blonde hair in the tub drain.....I was devistated! They say you normally lose 100 hairs a day on an adverage person but I had never really had much notice of any before and then at 4 months....wham! I kept thinking it would stop right away but it lasted about 2 months. I can tell a difference and my hair dresser can too. I think it is less noticable as I wear my hair really short and fluffy, and I had alot of hair in the beginning. I now have lots of new growth at the roots and it looks like I will be back to normal by the holidays. I have seen so many WLS people *****ally have lost alot of hair and I did not want to be one of them! Keep taking your biotin and keep your protein and fluids up. If it does happen you just grin and bear it and know that it is normal for some of us and it will end in a couple of months. I think it would look alot scarier on someone with longer hair as each long hair lost looks like so much more At least now I know what to be prepared for when I get to the "plastics" stage for more surgery. Have a super day sweetie! And keep up the good work! You are doing Fantastic! HUGS! Marianne
