Got my packet on Friday and have been looking everything over. I will be contacting all of my DRs. tomorrow to ask for recomendation letters. Would it be helpful for me to also write my own letter stating the reasons I am wanting to have this done...or should I just let the professional's letters stand on their own? Linda

Linda, Send as much as you can! Including (but not limited to): Physician letter Physician notes from previous diets/exercise/weight records Specialist notes/letters: Dietician, sleep specialist, endocrinologist, GYN, ect. Personal food/exercise journals Surgeon's letter who will do the WLS Psyche letter from the psyche exam Your own letter Sounds like alot, but it is well worth it! Different insurance companies have different hoops they expect people to jump through. The above cuts down on the needed hoops. Good luck! Sherri

I agree! A cover letter lets them know you are a person and not just another claim! Good Luck! Sam
