Well had my 6 month post op appt with Dr. Caccuci today. I made hubby go along inscase she ate me for being preggo. She wasn't too upset but said "so you didnt use any protection after i told you to?" That was the worst of it. She did have me go down to outpatient for several hours though. Due to all the sickness I've been having, I was horribly dehydrated. Which explains my yuky all the time feeling, my dizziness and whatnot. So I got a room, a couple warm blankets (oh man i love those blankets!) And settled into the comfy bed to watch CNN til I dozed off while they pumped me full of fluids, gave me some nutrients and some anti nausea meds all via IV. Work was not happy I will not be there tonight, but not much I can do about it. Oh! And since I went for my consultation (I gained weight afterwards though and was up to 381), I have lost exactly 100 pounds in 6 months, leaving me at 261. Hooray! Only 91 pounds to goal, which obviously I can really work on at the moment. I was told not to try to lose weight, but to instead focus on getting 1800 calories a day if I could, and to just maintain for now.

Darrah, I thought about you all day yesterday and, logged on first thing today so I could see what Dr. C. said. I'm glad it wasn't that bad. She can be so blundt, but I love her anyway. I weighed 237 when I got pregnant the last time, and I gained only 13 pounds the whole nine months. I had two friends that weighed alot more than I did that actually lost weight during pregnancy ( one lost 70 pounds) My doctor and theirs was fine with it. My Doctor said it was because your metabolism picks up a lot with your pregnancy. My friends did gain theirweight back after the births, and I increased my weight after mine( my own fault though). I wish you good luck and am very happy for you. Every good and perfect gift is from above James 1:17. Sarah

Hey Darrah, I have been keeping you in my thoughts. I hope by now you are feeling better. If you have to, use the protien shakes to get in all your requirements. I know there is alot of times I do a protien shake, when I just don't feel well, or can't get my daily quota in any other way. I know that it is important for you both. Can't wait to hear if it is a girl or boy! (((hugs))) Ellen
