Has anyone heard of.....

a place called Holiday World? I live about 15 minutes southwest of there in a little tiny town called Chrisney. Thank you so much for the warm welcome.:-D

I was just in that area a couple of weeks ago when my cousin died in Rockport and i went to the funeral. Its beautiful down there and i really enjoyed the bluegrass radio stations. Carla

Dawn, Of course we've heard of Holiday World up here! Our grandson loved it when we took him there last year. He did pretty good for it being a few hours drive for a little guy. Other than the theme park, not familiar with the area at all..but it is close to Kentucky, isn't it? I wish we had a theme park close to Indy! LOL! Sherri

Ron and I took the boys when it was Santa Claus Land.. and I stopped and visted a pen pal in VELPEN when I was there.. Yep you are south of me... the furthest south we go is to Spencer once in a while on the bike or just drive thru on the way to the Smokies.. Linda

That is somewhere down near the IN/KY border near Santa Claus. My sister lives in Huntingburg and she has been there.

Wow.. makes me home sick. Im originally from Huntingburg, but spent the first 5 yrs of my life living in Santa Clause. We lived in the old Med. Church Campground House... they tore it down years ago. It was directly across from the church. I remember driving by were the house was and crying ... I loved that old house. Soo many memories!

Hi Dawn! We used to drive down to Holiday World and spend the night. The kids loved going 2 days in a row. Now they are too old for Holiday world but I love that place! Next summer when I have lost a lot of weight, I will probably go and take a few of my younger neices and nephews. I love the water park and the area is so beautiful. I love southern Indiana. Welcome to the boards!

ive not been there since it was Santa land....need to get back.Used to live in Martin County so the drive wasnt so bad...now i have to add another hour.
