Peer Support Group Thursday @ 6:30 pm

Hey Everyone, Last Reminder That Tomorrow Night (Thursday) is Peer Support Night!!! I have water - Crystal Light flavors for said water - various tea bags for hot tea and will be bringing a fruit plate also. Possible Topic Discussions - Post Op Secondary Addictions?(or where they already there BEFORE wls) / Helping To Break Myths Of WLS. Hopefully I'll get to meet some local WLS from my area - woo hoo! Where is this peer support group at? I am off work tomorrow night and I think it would be neat to come. It is a long way from my house but if nothing comes up I would like to come. If you could send me the info. Thanks Kylie

Kylie, It's at 200 Knoll Circle (Shady Knoll Apartment Club House) in Crawfordsville. You can either mapquest driving directions yourself or email me and I'll help with directions.

I have to go to 3 support groups before my surgery, is this what they mean? I have to get a slip to show I was there

Tracey, Unfortunately, No, these meetings are NOT what is required for insurance or hospital purposes. Those meetings must be medical supervised by a sponsoring facility such as the meetings St Vincents, St Francis, and Clarian host. The support group I run is for peer support - as in for you personally and are not medically supervised or sponsored. However, you can visit any of the previously mentioned facility's websites and find where and when their support meetings are to attend those. Good Luck Jodi
