Good morning everyone! I know. It's kinda rainy out, but I hope you all have a good Sunday anyway. Bill's mom, Jean, picked Bill up yesterday & took him to Kroger's & then by Church's (I'll eat a piece now & then with NO SKIN..but remember, I'm almost 2 yrs out). Anyway, she's 81...Bill is 50 and what Bill bought needed to last us till Wednesday..till my daughter could make a grocery run for us. So...at Kroger's, Bill picks up two small bags of salad mix and Jean tells him 'you only need one bag or the 2nd one will go bad'. Then she only wanted him to get 1 bottle of salad dressing (which won't go bad..and besides, I like the FF Honey Djon and Bill likes the FF Blue Cheese). She continued that way all through Kroger's. Then at Church's drive-thru, he wanted a 12 pc..thinking that would last a few days then. She ordered him an 8 pc and said that was more than enough for a meal!?!? Poor man. He was so frustrated when he got home. After Jean left, I found out why. As Bill said, he's 50, not 5! LOL!! I really do love Jean but I know that she feels that shopping is a WOMAN'S domain! I also know she would have never told me not to get what I had wanted. Haha!!! Meanwhile...I'm working on some plastic canvas projects for Christmas..for Jean. LOL! You all have a terrific day! I know what you mean, and most mom fell they are still in control of your life. I know my mom still talks to me when I go see her like I am still 13 and she needs to tell me everything to do or tells me to go get for her all the time. I don't see her much so I do it cause I know I will go home in a few days, but my sister has to deal with it everyday. I miss my mom and my family, but I am glad I have my space. They live in Southern IN and some in KY. Lisa

Hehehehe. My husband's mom is like that, thinking she's still in control of his life, Guess that's most of her problem with me . She offered him everything ( a house, a car, money) to leave me, and here we still are. She doesn't like that there is a DIFFERENT mama calling the shots now. It prolly felt good for Jean to be able to "mama" bill around, frustrating as it was for him. Bless both their little hearts Personally, my mom died when I was 19, so I never really got to have much of an adult relationship with her, but we were very close. However I still have good ol dad to nag me Been feeling pretty pukey the last few days, this morning in particular. I wish I didn't have to work today, but the bank account keeps screaming for more money, so off I go. Tomorrow is our first ultrasound (!) followed by a dr appt for my foot. Still too early to see what we're having, but oh won't it be nice to know the little darling has a heartbeat!

Linda, Bill would never say anything like that to his mom. Guess he figures that she's old, so why upset her. Besides, she was trying to do us a favor by bringing him to the store. Fortunately, we aren't put in the position of having to ask her to do things for us very often. We will just try to ask my daughter to do the grocery runs for us....lol. Today hasn't been a good day. I tried to go without the loratab last night so it's kinda screaming at me today. Sherri

Angie, I'm moving very slowly. I heard pre-op that this was a painful surgery to recoup from...and it is. I don't know how much of my pain is the surgery part and how much is those ligaments though. Add them together, and it just hurts. The left foot's ligaments have been waking me up with pain too. It will be good when January rolls around & both of them are doing good...I hope so anyway. I've done several things in plastic canvas. I've even made my mom a 4' Christmas tree, complete with ornaments, skirting, and an angel on top. I'll try to find the pics and post them on my picture trails. I've even had one project for my grandmother's Rebecca's group be displayed in Washington, representing the state of Illinois. How cool, huh? LOL. Are you crocheting the hems of the dish rags or..?? Amazing how important it is to keep the hands busy huh? I think if it weren't for crafts & books, this sitting around recouping would have either had me eating 24/7 or smoking again. Sherri

Sherri that sounds like when I send Eric to the grocery without a list! He tries, that is all I can say. This weekend has been uneventful and I truly needed it. I met my parents and some of their friends for dinner at the Oaken Bucket in Greenwood last night. I enjoy their friends as much as I do mine! Had some steak and potato soup but it was gross tasting to me. Ended up just eating my crackers. It was almost like the potatos were sweet and the meat was kind of sour. Mom called it "smokey" tasting...I just called it gross. Today I had brunch with a girlfriend at Cracker Barrel then came home and cleaned. I love to clean by myself. I blare the music and just dance around like a dork while I'm doing it. Hey might as well make it fun!! Tonight I'm going to climb in bed and watch the Emmy's and probably go to sleep early. Looking forward to a much better week at work! Sam
