Thursday...Good morning

Good morning everyone! It IS morning, right??? Loratab has a tendency to give me insomia so I was up all night. My foot was extra sore last night. Maybe it was because of being messed with at the doc's office yesterday. He removed the stitches. I didn't count...or ask, but it looked like at least a dozen. The incision is ~2" long. Longer than any of my RNY incisions..lol. He put butterfly strips accross it to keep it closed up and then re-bandaged it up. I have to keep it dry for 1 more week, then if it's closed up well enough by next Wednesday, I graduate to a band-aide..and be able to take a shower! They were out of the shower boots so I am still sink-washing. The doc was happy that there was no evidence of it bleeding at all. I guess there is usually some dried blood on the incision but mine was clean. There is a little bit of swelling so I have to continue the icing & elevation..but then, it feels best that way so I probably would have continued those anyway. He did say that he had a little bit of problems during the surgery getting the boneto go into the right position. I'm sure he sighed a sigh of relief to see the x-rays and see that it stayed in place. He asked about the ligament of the other foot and hinted that it probably needs another steroid injection. Yep, probably does...but NOT while I'm awake! In fact, I think both feet need it again but that will have to wait until he does the other surgery. We did discuss that too. It will most likely be November 3rd. I wanted to wait till after the OH conference. Well..that's my update. Time for ice. You all have a good day! Sherri

morning. I have yet to decided if it is good or not. Gee Sherri, I'd sure miss soaking in the bath tub. I'd probably get in and keep my surgery foot proped on the side and take a nice long soak. Hope it continues to heal OK. When your feet hurt, everything hurts. I was looking at your picture trail. I need to get something like that set up when I have a few extra min at home. I just have one question for you.. Do blonds really have more fun? You all have a good day. tomorrow is finally Friday. YEAH

Sherri so glad to hear things are going better! How was going out to eat? That probably is adding to the discomfort. So will you be all recovered by Christmas? Think of all the shopping you'll miss out on if you can't walk!! Today is the first day I have felt like myself in a few. With being tired, sore, PMSy, and stressed out I was just a mess. Then add the emotional stress of having our dog put to sleep and I was really worn out. I left work at noon yesterday and took a nap. That really helped. I know people at work were starting to worry about me but today everyone says I look good and have my color back. THis weekend we have no plans so I'll be taking it easy. Hopefully get to see my niece again!! Hope everyone has a great day!! Sam

Good morning everyone! Man oh Man I'll be gald when tomorrow is over and it's time for a day off again. I'm just sooooo tired these days. I'll say this much: I sleep like a rock anymore! No more insomnia issues that's for certain. Sherri, that's good news about your foot. Sure hope you DONT miss out on all that shopping for Christmas times! Sam glad to hear you're feeling more like your old self. My hubby worries about me leaving too. After surgery he said "honey, we're you're all skinny, will you still think I'm sexy?" LOL. Silly boys. I'm not going anywhere either. Time to go to CVS and get my new prenatal vitamins and then come home for a nap before work!
